What else were you expecting, they want you to buy dlc related to stuff they didnt put in the game, missions that happen before the ending, missions that wont change a single thing as far as the ending is concerned. Would love to see the sales of that.

Whatever else there is, the only way to get satisfied with the ending, is to make up what happened in your own mind.....

In other words, you could just play ME1 and 2, and then imagine what ME3 "was".

This shows insights into details that were kept and removed, it says almost nothing about what ACTUALLY was happening in GENERAL during the end of the game, so you really can't draw many conclusions about whether the end was real or a dream sequence type thing. You guys just jump from one misguided conclusion to the next. Why in such a hurry to be let down? Find a bridge next time you feel like jumping instead of posting lol.

I love that...

At first we decided to kill both of your squadmates in front of you. Then we decided it was pretty stupid to kill off characters based on the fact that you picked them to come with you. So then we just removed the scene and hoped no one noticed the gigantic disconnect.

Can;t...unthink...the ending...

I was holding out hope that the current ending was just PART of the ending due to the script leak, and the rest/proper ending would be released as DLC.  This kind of dampens that hope.  If this truly is the ending of the game, I am never buying another bioware game (and I freakin love their other games) because why would I spend my time and money on a story if they can't deliver a good ending or even admit to a bad decision and fix it.

Me: Wake up Bioware
Bioware: Where are we?
Me: Mass Effect 3's ending. It is my life.
Bioware: We need to fix this. Everyone is pissed. We fear for our lives.
Me: You have three choices. The blue path will let you fix everything. Follow up on the Indoctrination theory that your fans created for you. If you take the green path you can ignore everything, lose 80% of your fanbase and eventually die as the company that ****ed up Mass Effect. Or the red path, where you can try to justify your actions, ultimately fail and die as the company that ****ed up Mass Effect.
Bioware: The only reasonable option seems to be the blue one. Why wouldn't we pick that?
Me: The DLC must be free.
Bioware: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yup, exactly as I figured. Sucks, but at least I was prepared for it.

Maybe we'll still get that postgame DLC despite it all, though.

Yeah, can't say I didn't see this coming.  However, we can still hope.

I am not entirely convinced that the "facts" we are presented are real. I mean this is such a roundabout way to tell us "yup thats what we devs wanted". Plus this doesnt change anything for our movement, we still have our goal.

At this point my goal is to tell every gamer I know that Bioware is no longer a developer worth supporting.

I... how... I can't...

That makes not got damn sense what so ever...

This reeks of nothing but arrogance in the highest degree..."we can do whatever and the stupid fan base will just eat up and dumbasses in the gaming media(save some) will defend us because we are Bioware we can do no wrong."

I can't even ... a fan fiction writer can do better than this... hell I know a ton have... wrote trilogies with outlines down to the details. Flow charts of how everything connects...

This... There are PEOPLE that would KiLL to have their job and be in their shoes... and ... this.

/faceplam

No... No more...

This does not discourage me and it should not discourge anyone else...

Hold the line...

LMAO~ So they intentionally created the end scene with the God Child this way? They thought not giving us the answers was not something we needed.....I mean we get screwed everywhere else but not even worth getting some questions answered out of this "child" Reaper....We were just supposed to accept all our options don't make a damn sense......Oh BW~

Edit:
Funny thing I was going to "try" and replay the game now I can't see myself touching the series at all. What Casey said just shot that down.

Okay, i didn't want to say it. Because it's cruel.
But, honestly? i would have fired ALL the ones in charge of writing the ending.

They clearly LIED to us with the promise of "closure" and "diversity".
Im sorry but i really can't think of a reason to forgive the son of a bit** who wrote that ****t$ ending.
I wouldn't care if they had warned us with "the end will not answer everything", "your choices won't matter" or "we won't bring any closure to it, we will leave a door opened for speculation". But they did quite the opposite. So GO TO HELL bioware...and i don't even believe on it!, but i will create it out of nowhere just like you did with the starchild.

All this does is show how they came up with the idea for the ending. It does NOT reveal anything planned for the future. All it shows is that the developers meant to create speculation in order to keep people interested in the game. But why? Why do that? Simple: they plan to truly explain what the ending REALLY means. BioWare surely has to know that you don't just create speculation out of thin air. The Mass Effect games are all about defeating speculation with cold-hard facts and epic plot twists. All this proves is that the developers created these endings in order to get the fans talking and begging for more.

And guess what? Talk we have. We have openly addressed our need for more. We have petitioned and raised money to prove how passionate we as a fanbase are. If that's what the devs wanted all along, to test our faith, than I think we have more than proven ourselves. I'm still going to hold the line, I'm still going to believe the theories, and I'm still waiting for my ending. This changes nothing for me.

If they were not real, it would be fraud since he is having people pay for the information.

I do not have time for your solid waste excretions, BioWare. The more I hear the more you seem utterly out of touch and nigh on delusional.

How can it be that a whole group of people screw up their own creation so badly and not one of them realizes it? They may have liked the direction they took the story in unlike us, but you could ram a thresher maw through those plot holes.

I'll just be over here raging to myself.

At the very least hopefully with the revelation that the endings as is ARE the endings, we can drop all the Indoc/hallucination stuff and unite against bad endings and hope they FIX them, rather than having so many grasp at straws.

And even in November the gameplay team was still experimenting with an
endgame sequence where players would suddenly lose control of Shepard's
movement and fall under full reaper control. (This sequence was dropped
because the gaemplay mechanic proved too troublesome to implement
alongside dialogue choices).

Found that part interesting.

I think it's a dead giveaway that the 'indoc' theory is true.

^^ This...

Guys..this more or les reaffirms the indoctrination Theory. The final squadmates dead yet them being on that ship, I mean come on..there's no way such a glaring error would go unnoticed. Roll out the True ending DLC Bioware and stop trolling!

So they actually thought the ending was appropriate and good? They clearly forgot what story they were telling at the 11th hour. It has to be a situation where they ran out of resources and had to cobble an ending together with what they had. The lead writer is not going oversee the first 4/5 th of the game be that awesome to just take a dump on it at the end and not understand what they did. This is really a sad day in sci-fi. Mass Effect could have been genius, and now it's just mediocre.
