At Amazon.com the user rating for Mass Effect 3 is a solid 2 stars. It needs to be rated down to one. I did my part, you do yours.

Q: What did you think of the ending? Is this addressed in the story?
A: "I've seen the uproar online about the ending and understand the fan perspective. Personally I respect the creative choices the team made and had no problems with how the story ended -- it made you feel something, even if that feeling was uncomfortable."

This must be THE most stupid statement ever made by a company in the history of mankind. "We want to make our customers feel uncomfortable"

Damn you Bioware and all that you have become.

The fact that i bought the CE makes me wanna vomit at this point...

Load of crap answer.  ANY ending would make you "feel" something.  Rage, puzzlement, disappointment, astonishment, etc.  ANY ending.  And that's what they went for, an "ANY" ending just to get a rise.

I could care less if the ending made me feel uncomfortable(i.e. wiping out the human race). But the ending needed to make sense. I don't think there is any argument that it does.

After the information that came out this video, I am simply in awe and disbelief that this ending was actually legitimate. I am so sad now, so very very sad.

Personally I never understood why people would come up with conspiracy theories instead of accepting what is being presented in front of their eyes. I guess my imagination is just not as vivid : (

The funny thing is, BioWare did exactly what they told us months before that they WOULDN'T do! BioWare are hypocrites.

Is it even legal for people to make profit off of another company's IP like this?

Yes. This confirms my worst fears about the whole thing. Bioware forgot what it was doing. In a recent issue of the Smithsonian, they used an image from ME2 in an article about whether games are art. At their best, games are art. But they are also games. A painter or a film maker doesn't demand anything from us but our attention. Whether we invest in those mediums is purely personal. The medium of games demands PARTICIPATION. We have participated in the growth of the ME universe, only to have that participation taken away from us at the very end. They even sabotaged their own attempt to further humanize Shepard with the kid in the dreams, only to reduce their own efforts to a sloppy plot device. The game was a rushed attempt at cashing in. Another bit of evidence is that From Ashes is not true DLC. If you complete it too early, Javik is on your ship, but not available as a squad mate on Palaven or the first N7 mission. Meaning that he was not supposed to be in the story at that point, but WAS part of the story. You got us, Bioware. Shame on us if we let EA use you to do it again.

When Bioware agreed to this Final Hours they probably thought it was going to be a great PR thing. Wonder what they think now?

i'm starting to think they thought they could leave it open for "speculation" and then have a ME4 or MMO and milk the franchise dry. Boy is that backfiring

To be honest, that's just downright embarrasing and pathetic. Ignorant, bias and arrogant packed in one.

But I might judge you pre-maturely on this, but just because the ending doesn't satisfy you, doesn't mean the game deserve such a low rating. Hell, if ME3 is a low-rated game, I dread to think what other think of other games. I'm glad people aren't journalist or rating stuff in a proffesional matter, how world would crumble in biasness.

Ah, okay. I think I'm beginning to understand what happened here.

BW really did think that ME fans would appreciate an ending that was different than the usual "video game-y" endings.

I mean, BW definitely had the fans in mind when creating this story. Alot of lil nods to the fans. From Garrus calibrating, to Shepard's bad dancing....they were thinking of us.

And God knows ME fans love to speculate and "theorycraft". Perhaps, just perhaps, they thought this kind of ending would be right up our alley. Something more abstract than 'splosions and pew, pew moments.

I vote the game rating low not because it's not a good game with bad endings but because Bioware sees things other then 10/10, PERFECT, 5 stars!!! they will continue to think the game is flawless and that they are brilliant ending writers.

I am also done and with anyone that worked on it that's a producer/writer/PR
Coders are not at fault but the ones that were in the rooms making this stupid ending

It was even just that it was poof, over and you see three people and then shep if you do the right decision and don't know wtf else was going on. Other races and your crew just left out of the ending. Hell fallout has a long play that shows all of your decisions in it's game and how your actions changed things and you feel good about it.
This was just....... /the end

Don't I know it.  THIS is why digital only sucks.  We need hardware disks that we can send back for a refund.  I wont trust them again.  No more pre-orders and, very likely, no future orders at all.

I've given my 1 star rating at Amazon for ME 3 and also submitted my 1 rating to Metacritic with an HONEST assessment of the game.  Great, absolutely fantastic game, until you get to the last 15 to 20 minutes when it renders the ENTIRE series into a pile of steaming crap.

The ending totally nullifies the ENTIRE series.  It renders MOOT every single last decision you ever made in all the previous games.  It totally nullifies the value of a renegade or paragon or paragrade Shepard.  I give it a one star rating because they wrecked the franchise and ruined replayability of 1, 2, AND 3.  I one starred it because the earlier 99% of it being great cannot counteract the ending.  I drink a coke down and like it but then find a dead mouse in the bottom as it hits me in the mouth, I don't say, "At least 99% of the drink was great!"  The entire thing is wrecked.

Bioware committed franchicide.  They murdered the franchise.  They absolutely deserve a 1 star for their "effort".
