Its like kids rebelling society by going to hot topic. This isn't how it works.

It's a colossal disconnect. Their players are *still* mostly gamers. They bent over backwards, per this app, to make an ending that was not "gamey". Well, that's a round peg being forced into a square hole. They made an artsy/hip ending for a game that was about heroic triumph through loyalty building and decision making. It just didn't fit. I think they wanted to take the opportunity to show how artsy they are, the players be damned. It was selfish, really, from the creative perspective, to neglect to take audience reaction into account when crafting the ending. And if they really did think that this would impress the player base, then there's an even bigger failure, really -- a failure to understand why people liked your games to begin with (and it wasn't to have a 15 minute philosophy minigame as the ending).
Bravo, well put.
As a consequence the lead writer has to reveal the plot via twitter of what really happened: "Yeah, the Citadel. It was not pretty and very few escaped before the wards sealed them in". Now, if the Citadel was the equivalent of a small outpost we briefly visited I would understand the need to clearify this. But it was the hub of the story. It was the beginning and the end, and even that is shruded in the philosophical minigame that the last 15 minutes of the trilogy was.

You should go to The Final Hours website and hover your mouse over the three options to buy it. (App Store, Coming Soon, and Coming Soon.) Notice anything?

Q: What did you think of the ending? Is this addressed in the story?
A: "I've seen the uproar online about the ending and understand the fan perspective. Personally I respect the creative choices the team made and had no problems with how the story ended -- it made you feel something, even if that feeling was uncomfortable."
This must be THE most stupid statement ever made by a company in the history of mankind. "We want to make our customers feel uncomfortable"
Damn you Bioware and all that you have become.
The fact that i bought the CE makes me wanna vomit at this point...
Are you intentionally trying to incite a riot, or are you really
paying that little attention to what you're reading. That Q and A comes
from Geoff Keighly. That is not BW's stated intent of the ending, that
is Geoff's personal take on the ending. I'm pretty darn convinced at
this point that some of you just want to see Bioware burn for the sake of it. youtu.be/efHCdKb5UWc
Anyway, I don't have an iPad so I can't get it yet, but I'm pretty interested in checking this out. It seems interesting.

No, it's what Bioware wanted and the whole point of the ending if anything to be discussed, questioned, so who gave you the right to say it should stop. I don't agree with what bioware have done but still get over yourself, avoid the topics regarding it.

It doesn't disprove it. They speak on the design choices on some specific elements (TIM and Guardian), but not the actual situation. Shepard could still be going through indoctrination, but that's where they chose to leave it...without answers so people will speculate.
And indoctrination is a more sound thought process than claiming BioWare is out to ruin their fanbase.

"Brilliant! What will we do?"
"Well... a few years ago I played this game called Deus Ex. I'm thinking we can use the exact same ending!"
"How do we get less video gamey by copying another video game?"
"That's the twist: Deus Ex had completely different themes and character development than Mass Effect. It will be totally incongruous and throw players for a loop!"
"Genius!"
