Dr. Karin Chakwas or Dr. Chloe Michel or maybe none at all?

I wanted Dr. Chloe Michel especially as a romance  but they both sort of make their case about Chakwas is better aboard the Normandy and Michel the clinic. Also Chakwas just knows the whole Normandy crew better and has been with Shepard since the first game.

Edit: Seems people didn't know about this xD I only found out on my second play in as well when I wanted to see what happens when you leave Chakwas behind - then talk to Dr Michel and see if she wants to join instead.

Edit-2: ROMANCE I believe there is a moment between Tali, Femshep & Garrus regarding a little jealousy when Tali finds out Dr. Michel giving Garrus chocolate. If Femshep is romancing Garrus Tali tells Shepard to watch herself(she's got competition).

Chakwas is one of the very few people who've been with Shepard through all three games. Her not being aboard the Normandy would just be wrong.

I chose Dr. Michel. Dr. Chakwas became a War Asset because I left her behind, while Michel can never become a War Asset.

So I chose Dr. Michel.

Cool. I had no idea you could choose Michel. However, even if I knew, I still would've gone with Chakwas. She's been with me through thick and thin.

Except it turns out Chakwas is a War Asset if you leave her behind in the lab. So it turns out it's actually better to bring Michel aboard after all.

I love Chakwas, don't get me wrong. But I felt that her field time and experience might have been be better suited to the Crucible.

Plus, it was really cool to get to see Michel again. I love that accent. Now that I think about it, her accent reminds me almost exactly of Leliana.

i chose Dr michel, i thought a change would be good and also if you get Dr chakwas to stay at the citadel then you get more war assets.

How do you make this choice? Do you tell Chakwas to stay behind and then go talk to the Michel? I just accepted Chakwas right from the start.

I never realized until afterwards that you could pick one or the other. I just happened to talk to Dr. Chakwas first, and it gave me the option to ask her aboard, and I figured that was a no-brainer, considering that was why I saved her in ME2 in the first place. But now I'm curious to know what would have happened, had I asked Dr. Michel instead though, because Dr. Michel is obsessed with Garrus. Makes me wonder if she would have had some jealousy dialogue.

to be able to recruit Dr Michel instead of Chakwas you have to speak to chakwas 1st and have her stay at the citadel to help build the crucible and then speak to Dr michel and invite her aboard the Normandy.

I didn't even know there was a choice. Taking Chakwas just felt natural, especially after she ricked so much to help me in ME2.

i had nobody in the med bay, never knew why. didnt know chakwas was even in the game.
