After discovering that i don't get an armor bonus from the warden commander's armor i did some searching. As far as i can tell, the only way to get the armor set bonus for the warden commander's armor is to equip the helm of the deep. The only way to get the helm of the deep is to get all five achievements on dragon age: journeys; the wonderful web game. I think bonus in-game content for completing the web game is fine, but having to complete the web game to receive the full effect of in-game content i already paid for is not so fine. Is this truly a bug, or some sort of dubious tactic to motivate us to play journeys? Did i miss something? Is there another way to get the bonus? How long does it take to complete journeys? I don't want to use up free time on it, but i suppose i can play it at work. No patches please; i'm on xbox.

Oh you're talking about the bonus.
The set doesn't bring the helmet and you should get the bonus from wearing the armor.

I am wearing the Warden Commander's armor and I received the set bonus. I did NOT play Journeys. I am wearing the Juggernaut Helm.

the armor commander bonus (if is the same name as in the spanish version) gives you a reduced ratio of encumberance.

I'm playing on the Xbox 360 and I'm currenly wearing the Warden Commander Armor as well but I didn't get the set bonus. I'm waring the Helm of Honnalth (I think I spelled that incorrectly). I'll try waring the helm of the deep and will let you know if I get the set bonus. Keep you posted.

Weird... I'm playing on PC (Digital Deluxe Edition from Steam) with the exact same set up as Iyose (Warden Commander Armor + Helm of Honnleath) and I've got the set bonus.

I'm an Xbox 360 player and I had absolutely no problem obtaining all the items from DAJ.

I guess this is a Xbox 360 problem because TreeStumpinator doesn't see to have a problem with getting the set bonus. I tried the Helm of the Deep with the Warden Commander Armor set and I still didn't get the set bonus. Anyone have any ideas on this?

I play on the 360 as well and I receive no set bonus equipping the Warden Commander gloves/boots/chest either. Doesn't work when I equip the set on any of the part members as well.

not to resurrect an old thread but...
I am now playing an arcane warrior and was very excited to wear the most awsome looking armor in the game IMO but became a very sad panda when i discovered that i get no item set bonus. Searching the internet only to discover that no one with a 360 version of dragon age is able to get the bonus is also distressing.
What makes me a little miffed is that no one form bioware seems to have noticed this issue; commented on it; etc.
So a plea to bioware; can you please look into this? please?

On the 360 you can't get the set bonus... this is cos the gloves are actually registered to be a diffrenet set to the the rest of it(look at the icon for the gloves closely and you'll see what i mean). It sucks but as far asi can tell there's no way around it :-(

No need to grudge it, the bonus is a minor cheaper cost to cast a spell, about 5 mana IIRC.
Suffice to say i cant be bothered with that, i just take the boots with the whopping 50 mana,
gloves of diligence with highest armor rating, & Blood armor with both mana & life boost
