definitely gonna try that engineer build nothing is more fun than CQC builds in my opinion

Barrier is an amazing bonus power choice for Vanguards on Insanity. And the penalty to charge cooldown is a tiny fraction of a second with proper upgrades/research and a weapon set that gives you 200% power recharge rate (I used an upgraded Mattock). You don't need an armor set that focuses heavily on power recharge either, I used 40% shields and 10% power recharge for my armor set and Insanity was a joke for me. It was easy before Barrier, but after Barrier, it was a complete joke. You are like a god even when your squadmates are all dead.

and if yo really want to go overboard, bring james everywhere and pick his +20% shields/barriers evo pasive. that's +20% more nova damage.
