I had an idea for an alternate ending, I'm just putting it out there. Everything is the same until you talk to the starchild. If you have enough EMS, you are granted the offer of ascension - you become a starchild (see Stargate). On top of that, you destroy the Reapers, while the Normandy is unharmed as well as the jump gates. The reapers simply have their internet connection pulled as it were. You reunite with your LI, have a big celebration, fireworks, etc. There is a final lovescene. Is that enough wish fullfillment for you? What would you pay for that ending?
