Dexterity is said to give daggers/bow extra damage for rogues, but it does not. Only thing dexterity does for a dagger/bow rogue is increasing Hit rating and Dodge rating.

I looked else where and there is already an unofficial patch fix for this problem. How in the world does Bioware not know about this issue?

They do, I'm not sure why they haven't fixed it yet (I'm not sure but i *THINK* i read somewhere that they aren't going to change it). Go and look through some of the other posts on this topic, there's a few pretty long ones with posts from devs/mods

They are going to fix it, but the game is going to need some rebalancing because of the fix, according to Georg who made the unoffical fix.

Problem is, it makes enemy archers do way more damage, and they do too much as it is in my opinion.

What a joke. Dex doesn't work for archers and dagger rogues and they need to "rebalance" after release. Really, where's all the hard hitting gaming journalism when you need them? The reviews should have waited until this bug is fixed. It neuters a third of the game mechanics.

The issue with the DEX fix is that not only does it fix bow damage for the player but it also fixes it for the enemy combatants. The same damage tables are used for bows, for example, for the player and enemies. They have to work on a fix for this because enemy bows will cause more damage than they do currently.

There aren't that many encounters where you fight really large groups of archers with no place to hide.

There is one fight where five of them scattershot you at once within seconds. But I think you're meant to lose that in almost any case.

its not that hard to adapt to though. instead of just standing there letting archers shoot, you will need to use tactics and kill them off after the mages instead of leaving them for last.

use line of sight to make them come to you, use crowd control to turn them into statues, whatever.

ive been using the hotfix and its not that hard once you adapt to it.

I just wonder how this even managed to make it past QA. It seems a pretty blatantly obvious bug.

Awesome. I feel super great about the fact that I'm level 17 and have like 70-80 points in dexterity (dagger-backstab build). Anyone heard of anything resembling a timetable relating to a fix for XBOX 360
