Yeah, I bought the N7 edition as well. I remember talking excitedly waiting in line with all the other Mass Effect fans, even other Thane fans. We were all thrilled to get home and dive into the game.

I feel like such an idiot.

I was debating if I should pre-order the game or not. Even after I read the leaked files I had a small glimps of hope that they might change some of it.  Even though I read them it didn't make it any less disappointing when I actually saw it.

I'm pretty sure there are some people here whose first language is not English. Would you consider advertising in your native language about us? I'm really tired all the sudden, so I'm probably not making too much sense. Basically, looking for advertising in other languages.

Seconded, except I speak Swedish. But if it's about advertising on Facebook I can't. I don't have facebook I can however link to the facebook page in my own language in other places.

Oh and I posted this idea in the Protest Thane Poor Treatment  thread, but I thought It does no harm for it to be posted here either: I just came up with an idea after voting in this poll of Captain_Brian's about the endings:

Maybe a similar multiquestion poll could be made with the topic being the treatment of the ME2 romance interests?

Given how Jessica Merizan wants civil and statistic feedback, it would be a good way to get the word out about the ME2 romances.

Great idea for a thread, Angie! You guys all know that I'm spamming my friends walls with these issues (since most of you are on my friends list).

I think the pole is a great idea. Just need to decide what options we want. I know what options I would put for the Thane romance. What do you think:

Thane Cure:
1. Medi-Gel for the Lungs: sidequest/mission retrieving cure from Cerberus outfit/indoctrinated Hanar (ala the Hanar Embassador). Survival of battle with Kai Leng dependent on number of missions between Cure Procurement and Citadel Coup. (To give medi-gel time to work and bring a tiny bit of realism to this magical cure).
2. Recent Lung Transplant. taken place before Shepard arrives on Citadel. Thane lives. Joins Shepard.
3. Recent Lung Transplant. sidequest/mission to procure transplant organs. Survival of battle with Kai Leng depended on number of missions between transplant and Citadel Coup. If successful and Thane lives, stays out of game due to recovery time.
4. Restocking Blood/Medical supplies. sidemission before Citadel Coup. Thane lives.
5. Restocking Blood Supplies: timed sidemission after Cidadel Coup. Survival dependent on time taken to complete quest.
6. Nothing. Keep Thane's scripted death the same.

Thane Romance, all trigger the Paramour Achievement:
1. More dialogue options: more dialogue options better voiced and in-context.
2. Extra cutscenes: more cutscenes
3. Both of the above.
4. Nothng, leave Thane's romance the same.

Yeah, should probably have thought through a bit more but I'm so tired right now. I'll let you mull it over.

Maybe add an option if Thane should be a war asset or not, and if only a romanced vs loyal vs disloyal Thane should survive.
 
Besides that  I'll see if I can come up with something for Jacob (I feel really sorry for that Shep) And, I'll ask my brother (who is a longtime Miranda, Jack and Tali fan) what he thinks could be done.

I know - but there are other fundamental flaws with the game AS WELL as the endings - character assassinations and poorly written dialogue are but two that deserve more attention!!!

No, no, no....this won't do. The "LOVE" must be on page one!! Along with the Cure Thane thread, there was another thread (which I forgot to copy the link of......I'll go look for it.) that discusses liking ME2 over ME3. Much of the stuff we have brought up in the Thane threads and this thread, are mentioned by other gamers who I have never seen posting in here.

Off to find that thread again.......

Ok, I know there are far more ticked off people that we have here!

Jacobmancers, Jackmancers, everyone, unite!!

The fact that so many ME2 characters were discarded in ME3 is not acceptable - especially after all the time we've invested in them!
It of course also adds replayability!!

most ME2 romances were a huge let down. When I first saw Jack introduction trailer for ME2 I instantly fell in love with the character, so much so that I went back to ME1 and replayed it just so I wouldn't have a romance when I import my save to ME2. But I am so disappointed. I wasted all those hours into a romance that didn't even get the closure it deserved. VS and Liara recieved most of the love, It's just not fair. The Mass Effect romances are one of the many reasons I love this series. But the Devs just didn't deliver (IMO). I sympothise to any of you who recieved less then I did in the romance department. Here's hope Bioware will make DLC for all ME2 romances.

Oh one more thing. you guys should post some of your concerns about your outrage in this forum. Maybe if we are loud enough abou it,  the Dev romance decisions they'll fix them.

Romanced Thane's death ticks me off only a little bit less than the whole ending fiasco. Please, adding my voice to Better ME2 romances. Don't leave us out in the cold!
