Entire game was truly amazing but then the ending killed that with the super weird ending that isn't realistic even in the Mass Effect world.  After beating ME1 and ME2 for the first time I was hungry to play more and I had played at least 400+ hours between ME1 and ME2 combined on the consoles but now I have zero desire to replay the game again because that's how disgusting the ending was.  I did an all paragon playthrough and got all or most war assets if that matters to you guys and at the end I just ran straight to the thingy.  I am trying to not let the ending effect me so I can keep on playing ME3
but like I said the magnitude of the horrible ending is overwhelming
right now.

Many in the same position, campaign for them to be changed, read up on dark energy and indoctrination, keep the pressure up on bioware.

Drink some whiskey and donate to charity. This may be one of the best coping mechanisms encountered to date.

Unless you're an alcoholic. In which case, just donate to charity.

Hold the line...
And, in the short run, if you are somewhat literarily inclined, write your own ending. It certainly helped me.

I'm hoping they fix it. But if not...

As far as I'm concerned, Shepard's suicide mission in ME2 really was a suicide mission. His entire team, including himself, died to stop the Collectors. ME3 is basically his way of giving himself closure in his final moments. That half a breath he draws at the very end is him drawing his last breath...

I think the connection needs to be made that all that money being donated would have been money spent on ME merchandise and future DLCs; that every cent that charity got is coming out of our ME budget.

It's hard, really, because the ending literally spoils the whole playthrough and the whole trilogy - if it was just a bit nonsensical or giving just a bit not enough closure, we could all just gulp it down, but it just went to ridiculous heights to stuff the last 10 minutes with bad ploting and things that change the outlook of the first two games and 2/3rds of the last one.

I do believe, though, as do many people, that this is in fact just a prelude to the real ending - Shepard is undergoing indoctrination from the moment Harbinger's rays hit him, and he will overcome this in the rumored upcoming "The Truth" DLC... Normally slicing the ending off onto a DLC would ****** the hell out of me, but in this case, I really, really want to have it to finish off this trilogy and keep it as a precious memory, as a really incredible story and something important for me. So I'd suggest looking to the appropriate "Indoctrination Theory" threads around the forum and letting the devs know that if this indeed is the finale of the trilogy, you are very disappointed.

Hold the line!

Uninstall the whole trilogy and go play something else. Then do what I'm about to do and close the browser you're using to read this.

I found that donating to Child's Play as one of my charities for the year was the best feeling I've had related to ME3 since witnessing the horrors of the endophage. Something good no matter what. :)

After finishing ME3 the first time I was destroyed mentally... So I turned to the forums where I learned about the indoctrination theory - it gave me hope. I am 100% sure that the theory is true... There are too many signs, it cant be a coincidence, it MUST be true. Until they release a DLC with a true ending I'm gonna go with an alternate ending formed in my head - Shepard moved in with Tali on Ranoch and they lived happily ever after. :)

I started by not turning the xbox back on for 24 hours, thought I might throw something. I then found my way here and have since been:
laughing at funny posts
truly interested in the WELL written arguments both for and against the endings(I am against)
laughing at the ..... less than inteligent posts, and the trolls
also so waiting...peting my long haired cat and ..waiting      Image IPB

I'm not dealing with it well.

I've not played anything since i finished ME3. I lurk the forums all the time, looking for hope.

I sit here, thinking of it. I dream of it. I wake up, and first thing that comes to my mind is THIS ***** ENDING.

I've invested so much emotions in this franchise, it's difficult for me to get myself together. Five years, five years of playing games, reading comics, books, learning the lore, and i get... THIS.

I'm filled with disgust and shame. Especially that ME3 is my favorite game from ME series.

But last ten minutes kill the whole franchise.
