I dont know if this has been posted or not. How do you unlock the Spirit Healer class? Can Wynne teach it to you or do you have to go to that store in Denerim and buy the tome?

Wynne can give it to you with the right approval, most companions if I recall right will agree to teach you their specializations when they are around 25-50 approval, too low or too high and they seem like they won't (wich is strange in regards to too high..). Alternatively, you could just quick save, buy the book and reload to have it unlocked.

100%, I only bought a single book on my first character, the Ranger book, and I unlocked all but Blood Magic and Reaver in my first playthrough. I don't think she ever had the dialogue regarding teaching it to me and I am fairly sure she has explained that she don't know how it works, but I remember it just unlocked after I had talked with her a while back at camp (perhaps it was a bug, I do remember reading BioWare posts stating Wynne won't teach it). I was playing a Human Noble Warrior at the time.

Do you have to do a quest for the specialization? because i remember reading about having to prove to the benevolent spirits that you are worthy of theri assistance.

I never did the personal quest for Wynne on my first character, hardly got that much approval either, so not quite sure what triggered it. The easy way would regardless be to just save, buy the book and reload to unlock and save yourself the money.

Strange. Must be very specific triggers for Wynne based teaching; I initiated dialogue with her after almost every major quest and approval shift, never got even a hint of the offer.

yah once you unlock a spec it's saved game-wide.



meaning reaver spec? save at the urn..defile..go outside to kolgrim and learn reaver...reload at urn..don't defile..go out and kill kolgim...still have reaver spec.



books..buy them..read them...reload before buying them and it's still unlocked...cheese..but it works

I've never managed to get her to offer to teach it either, although by the time I had her in the party I had already bought the book.

It's a bit weird. I did her personal quest and she liked me a lot. But the option to teach the specialization never came up. I gave up and bought the book.
