i would like to apologise to the community, in my last analise of bioware manager i thought they were using the spoiler section as a way to vent our frustration, as they just close it, it would appear that i was wrong and they were just away.

Maybe you should get it through your head that the app is not from BioWare. They did NOT create it. Maybe then you'll see the error of your ways.

BioWare is promoting the app on Facebook.

The app claims to have exclusive insider knowledge, including video interviews with the creative team.

So, at the very least, BioWare had some say in the content of the app.

I was super surprised when I saw that I couldn't post. Does anyone know what specifically happened other than just "people were breaking the rules"?

Looks like someone didn't get the whole Quarian and Geth fleets...

It really is a "war against the Makers" at this point. I'm just surprised that the BSN has actually united on something for once.

Amen, this incident just made me NEVER want to give another penny to Bioware ever again, what happened to not biting the hand that feeds you? We give Bioware money, we feed them, they do this.

Ah well, there are companies more deserving of my funds, Like Valve and Sqare Enix.

20 minute lockdown because people aren't lock-step marching to give Bioware... oral pleasure for such a cruddy ending? Don't buy it. If this were about people saying naughty words, a quick edit would suffice, unless that massive list of moderators below this reply box is just for show.

That doesn't mean they make anything from its sales which people seem to think.

Experimental groups have to be different from the controls to reject a null hypothesis.

Good, because I am waiting to respectfully refute the argument you made to shut it down in the first place.

Wait what was this argument? do tell :?

That people were raging because BioWare was selling this app when it isn't.
Except that's not why people are raging. People are raging because of the information contained in the app, which is all BioWare.

Moreover I find it highly unlikely that BioWare does not get a cut from it's profits.

You don't get access to film behind the scenes footage if they aren't on board.

The inevitable happened - some people saw stuff about Geoff Keighley's app/video, bits of the ending design notes, made a leap of logic and fell off the deep end.

It's really their fault. I'm really sorry to say this, but they're handling the whole situation very badly.
It's not we can't accept disappointments, it's that we're not being answered properly.
We deserve better.

I live by only one philosophy in these kinds of situations.

Debate the idea but do not debate the person. As soon as you start making it personal **** starts getting real.

Wait what happend ? I've been away for work and now there's this 50-page thread in the locked forum that's just 3 hours old.

...pls...pls don't tell me someone found a confirmation that "this is it" (concerning the ending). I was kind of getting behind the whole indoctrination idea.

Even if it wasn’t made by Bioware directly, nothing in
this app would have been approved without EA’s and Bioware permission. So i’ll
leave you with this little quote from the mass effect 3 final hour website which
was created by Geoff Keighley a video game journalist. http://me3finalhours.com/

Q: How was BioWare involved in the creation of this
story?

A: A story like The Final Hours is only possible with
an incredible amount of support, coooperation and trust from the game
development team. Casey and I first started talking about a Final Hours story
around Mass Effect in the Spring of 2011 and I began work on it during the
summer of last year. Even though he was in the thick of finishing the game, he
was generous with his time, as were many other team members at BioWare. They
sat down for interviews, photos, and answered countless questions over e-mail.

Unlike Valve, EA is a huge game publisher (which owns BioWare) and
navigating the kind of access I needed to the team wasn't easy. But I must
thank the tireless Andrew Wong, the head of BioWare's PR group, for his energy,
responsiveness and support of this project across many trips to Edmonton. Even
though he was launching one of this year's biggest games, he and his team, including
Lisa Chan, always made time for the Final Hours. Similarly, my thanks extends
to Jeff Brown at EA. Many of you many know him as nothing more than EA's
oft-quoted and colorful "spokesman," and while his quotes are
legendary, he is also one of the smartest guys I know and a dear friend. Jeff
was instrumental in inspiring me to continue with the Final Hours series and
helped ensure that I had to support of EA to write the story I wanted to write.

And so for the threats, there was one floating around in
the forum, approved by no less then 5 people then buried by everyone else who felt
that this sentiment went too far as it did. And it was i believe towards the
middle of that topic. The story board section was heated as hell and a few
people were throwing around unneeded threats, but they were in the minority and
you had to really dig to see their posts.

App or no app, content or no content.. people should learn to control themselves a bit more. Nothing is gained by yelling. I have to thank Chris for being way more tolerant (than probably I would have been in his shoes) because there have been a fair amount of cursing going on. Even amongst more civil people. Thanks for that. ... But still. try to control yourself folks. Creates a better and more creative atmosphere.
