So no one can post in the story section? Or have they only banned people who wanted to change the ending? I dont remember saying anything against the rules but you never know with bioware

What happened to the Anti-ending people who protested peacefully?

Didn't Troll or insult, or cuss or anything. Just said "Hold the Line" and looked at articles. We were acting like adults for soooo long, then an app not even RELEASED by Bioware comes out, and everyone has a **** fit.

Come on guys, don't turn into the thing the media calls us. We can rise above that.

Or you know, just put ****s in your signature, I don't care anymore. I'm disgusted by what the movement has turned into.

We're not beyond redemption.

Not yet.

This isnt a hive mind, we arent all collectively responsible for peoples random outburst of rage. All in all the vast majority of people talking in the spoilers forum are doing so calmly

You idiots! don't you realise what you've all done?

By lashing out you've just blown the one thing we had from the community and world respectively: pity. We were being cast as the underdogs, and then you're all blowing the image of all of us apart! Bioware tactics or not, we're losing our assets the more you all keep giving out aggression to the devs.

Keep this civil, or we lose everything. If you really were here for the sake of ME3's future, and you aren't just jumping on the hate wagon for giggles, then you should know that yelling is only making us LOSE ground. We want to win, we need to hold our ground and keep our civility.

I don't understand why it has to be some political machination.

Can't we all be civil and levelheaded because it's the right thing to do?

It's like a zombie movie you know? All that needs to happen now is a nuclear bomb being set off that does nothing.

They. Only. Care. About. Your. MONEY.

They don't give a damn about your civility or feelings.

There was a time, not so long ago, when I'd have siad you were wrong. That time is long since passed.

Options here are either the worlds worst time technical problem (unlikely) or the moderators slapping the community with a time out. Neither option will particular calm this crowd. Truthfully what needs to be done is an open and honest statement saying what is happening, end the conflict by telling the community what the company is or isn't going to do.

Because they beleive, probably wrongly from what I have been reading for the past few minutes, that you are mature enough people to be able to get your point across without having to resort to profanity.

I think the '*' count as cusing now.

It's not thew app that people are mad about. It's the talk about the endings and the fact that the fans just might care more about ther series then the people making it do.

The Mass Effect series made me want to go for a job in the gaming industry but after how BW/EA had marketed, and destroyed this fantastic game it has made me back away from working in games. It should be about making a game of the year and pleasing the fans but no...

Now it's all about money. They don't care what they do, or how up set the fans will be. It's all about that mean green. I miss pre EA Bioware.

Not made by Bioware?

W0000000000000T?

1) I agree it's not cool insulting devs. Things got out of hand with good reason though.
2) Was the stuff in it not real? Like the devs didn't make the choices they made?

What's going on here?

/frustrated

It was real unfortunately, it was the writers' notes, which the app maker (SpikeTV) got from BioWare in an interview after the game went gold.

Yeah I know....what a mess. I think we were all upset at the content mostly not at being charged for this. I mean I wasn't running to get it. lol

Its not a technical issue, He clearly stated that he locked the forums in the post, and they will not re-open them till
"everyone" has seen his post.

Why are so many of you convinced you can obtain pity from a million dollar corporation? People are pissed, and they have every right to be so.

But...there is a profanity filter? Where else do all these ****** come from? Unless I have my own personal mod that's going around correcting all of my posts as I post them there's certainly a profanity filter because I know I've let some cursing slip now and then.

I'll admit I feel bad for Chris. He's a messenger, he's not pulling any strings at BioWare.

While I don't approve of BioWare's lack or response or any solid attempts at reaching out beyond cryptic "We hear you!" messages, I can't blame Chris for getting frustrated with people. It's a forum, things get angry. In real life people would be stepping out to get some air.

When things have cooled a little, be polite. We can continue the push but we need to ensure we're not just flaming wildly or going off topic or resorting to spam.

^This.

Also keep in mind that devs are legally obligated not to reveal information until they get the go-ahead from Upper Management.

It's quite likely that said Upper Management is still flailing around trying to decide what to do, and want to wait until they've had reviews in from every country it's been released to before making a statement.

Hardly satisfactory, but getting shirty with people whose hands are tied won't solve anything.

If anything, Chris should demand a raise from BW, since he's more or less left holdiing the bag here, even though he's not responsible for the fiasco the ending turned into...

People were angry and a few lashed out at staff members but most people were just venting. Just because it got heated and hectic doesn't mean we all "stepped over the line". It was an immediate reaction to the new information posted and people would've calmed down without intervention in time.

If certain members broke the rules, ban them. Don't institute a forum lock down that'll only serve to wind people up more.

Okay, okay. Stop it. You make it sound like the forum was exploding with abuse and shouting.
It wasn't. Some of us were angry, sure. But outright abuse? Hell no.

Of course, locking it makes it look like exactly this happened to the rest of the community. Just saying.

Oh okay. Be upset, sure, but burning stuff down because your mad about an ending. That's approaching sociopath levels, haha. Glad you were kidding.

I'm going to disagree on that point, sometimes burning something of your own that's gotten loaded with a lot of negative associations can provide a healthy form of closure.  It's really all about context and intent.
