This bug is killing me, I can't continue the game since it's part of the main quest.

The Loading screen is just a picture of the Citadel and the loading sign at the bottom right, it's still moving.
After a couple of seconds I can hear the disc stop spinning and after a little while the music stops playing, but Loading is still moving. I am getting nowhere with this, any help is much appreciated as I've already loaded a previous save and done every mission except this one. This is the only mission I can do.

Well, I got this, too, but not like you, I can complete the quest, but cannot enter the shooting room. All I can do is try to save, and then re-enter, and it allows me to do. So I recommend you to save before you want to do this quest, or loading areas that freeze on loading. This is really annoying, hope the technical support read our threads and fix those.

Problem is, I have saved just before the cutscenes, but it's always the same loading screen, the citadel. I must have tried upwards 25 times now. Happened once also when in the Citadel elevator going to the Presidium. Always the same loading screen that freezes.

EDIT: And I have tried 5-6 different saves from earlier in the game, still get the same loading screen.

Wum, I guess this problem is due to something serious in the game. Many times the game freeze at the loading screen, but it returns to normal after going somewhere else or completing some quests. Have you tried to do something else (side mission, go to the other system, etc) before go to the citadel and do your quest? Also try to clear your cache, maybe there is some bug in your cache that cause the problem

Clearing cache didn't work. And yes I've tried doing other missions, and I even loaded a 4 hour old save, just to replay it, to see if it worked. It didn't... This is getting very frustrating as I have no missions left, and this is part of the Main Quest. I can't play the game that I bought.

This is getting very infuriating, has BioWare acknowledged the problem yet?

This is the Loading screen that freezes btw:

I'm getting the exact same problem. Game's at a standstill until Bioware fixes it, and my galactic readiness is going down every day.

Hi guys,

Same problem for me. Have not come across any of the other bugs mentioned in the forums. Only this one. I have seen it suggested in other forums that my xbox may be having trouble reading the disc since it is not a brand new machine but I have not had any problems with any other games.

Therefore I would like to ask Bioware two things:

If is a problem with the game why has it not been acknowledged or dealt with yet? As this is not acceptble.

or

If it is a problem with the console why is there not a warning on the product explaining that it will not run on older consoles? This, too, is unacceptable.

As a consumer I would like to know how this will be addressed and if it is not. What legal channels I can go through to ensure customers of Bioware and Microsoft are not taken advantage of again.

Clearing system cache doesn't help.

Well, lesson learned gents. Next time you think about getting a Bioware game, wait a couple years for them to acknowledge the game-breaking bugs first and then buy it used when they eventually get around to fixing them.

Bioware decided to patch multiplayer instead. O joyous day.

Bioware's patched the ending to be less crap. I wish they'd patch the game to make the ending more accessible now.

EA customer support basically blew me off. I'm trading this crap in for something that works. Issue: Resolved.
