I think most people have given up on new DA2 content, unless there'll be some announced along with DA3 whenever they decide to tell people about that.

DA2 just turned a year this month... If DA3 were to follow the same development cycle as DA2 from DA:O, it would have a release date of sometime in the next 3 months.  I say that for two reasons:

#1) I find that hilarious and pathetic and disheartening all the same time and

#2) I really doubt we will see anymore DA2 DLC as they're probably (hopefully) hard at work on DA3 which I'm hoping gets at least another year of development time before they announce anything, with another year of development time after that.  (but this is New BioWare we're talking about so I expect a release date to be announced by the end of the day today)

Think of Witch Hunt. How close was that released to DA2's release date? Or Arrival for ME2...

Though DA2 is still hard to replay :<.

Since you are already clear that you think the existing DLCs are pitiful and expect the next one to be the same, one wonders why you care at all whether there will be more.

I think we'll hear more about the future of DA2, if we hear anything, on April 6.  Personally I'm hoping for an expansion.  Supposedly there are two more slots in the Hawke mansion for DLC-triggering objects.  But I'd prefer a more expansive add-on to the game.  We were told that Hawke rose to power and became a person of such significant influence that they were directly responsible for hurtling the world into chaos.  But that isn't at all what the game we have depicts, so I would prefer an expansion that rectified  that failure.

Origins was mostly finished before 2009. If you recall, the release date was in the beginning of the year, but it was moved to the end so that the console releases would be simultaneous.

DA2 had more development time than the time between when Origins was actually released and when DA2 released (this is also why Awakening was ready a week later).

There's no evidence that the team finished DA2 any amount of time prior to its release (insert stale joke about how they didn't actually finish DA2). There's also a huge stretch of time between the release of DA2 and when the team started working on DA3 fulltime that doesn't seem to be accounted for (the live team of course worked on the DLC, but we also know those were written far in advance of when they actually were released).

If they have something to announce, they'll probably do it (or at least hint it) at PAX in April. If not, they'll likely just talk about DA3, and DA2 will be considered done.

April 6, PAX East, gaming convention, which Bioware will attend, with a Dragon Age panel.

I like DA2 and love DAO. I hope that there will be an announcement at PAX east of an expansion pack or DLC for DA2. I feel like there is so much more to the game that isn't adressed to yet. As DA3 supposebly's going to have a new hero I want the champions story te be completed.

Something more seems likely, if they had totally scrapped it and were solely working on DA3 it seems unlikely that they would have bothered patching it still.

I hope it's not Starknaven, Sebastion was my least favorite character, and I really don't want to see him again.
I kind of hope it will be Orlaise  or even Tevinter instead. I've also been curious about Rivane and Anderfels, so even those would be preferable to Starkhaven imo.

My bet is on the free Marches and more specific Starkhaven for an expansion. We learned about it allready in the game and Sebastian is the perfect PC for closure of some of the mystery's that still remain.

I think schalafi that DA3 will take place in Orlaise. There are to many references in DA2 to Orlais to make Rivain or Anderfels the next stage for the game in my opinion.

I hope there will be more DLCs. Just to close unfinished storylines in the DA2 game.

I would be really, really surprised if they released any more DLC at this point. It's very rare to hear about any add-ons being released this late in the cycle. I'm betting they just shifted all of their resources over to the development of DA3, which I personally think is for the best.

Wouldn't it be a perfect prelude to DA3 to end DA2 with a little someting extra that anwers some of the questions that haven't been answered and give us a really nice cliffhanger to make us all curious about what comes next? If DA3 is about mages/templars wouldn't a DLC about Sebastian being a man of the chantry stuck in the middle taking back Starkhaven be fantastic?

I doubt there will be any more DLC. However I would like another item pack or two and maybe a fairly large story DLC to wrap up Hawke's tale (doesn't have to be as meaty as Awakening, but definitely larger than Legacy or MotA).

Back last summer or spring (whatever), in response to the fan backlash the mentioned stuff that could happen in future DLC; Morrigan appearing was the one I remember. Now I've realized that the promises they made were just to deflect the criticism. I think that the minor announcements about Dragon age 3 are to make us forget about those announcements.

Still waiting for more content. Although DA2 is hard to replay at the moment. So I left one play-through unfinished.

Go to 4channel.org, to read the DLC rumors. I am not posting them here.

Neogaf and reddit has some too.

Whether they are true...remains to be seen.

Some could say that Biowares silence on the matter is a confirmation in itself that there's at least one more add on being worked on right now. If the game was past getting support wouldn't they just say so? Unless they're staying quiet because they're about to release some information or concepts about DAIII and want all of the dragon age attention on that instead. Either way Bioware seems to keep you focused on one game at a time. Right now that's Mass Effect 3 so I don't think we'll see anything outside of that until ME3 slows down.

There will probably be one more release a bit longer than Legacy and MotA, though I doubt it'll be a full on expansion pack.
