 I have a Human Sentinel. I have made him work with TA on. I also posted a picture of a sucessful Gold run where I unknowingly placed MVP. But someone mentioned Defense Matrix and what it does and I lookes into it and it sounds it fits more with the Human Sentinel who could do better with Shield recharges and boosts than with Tech Armor that seems to be geared more to the Turian and Krogan. Other races have different class powers so why can't humans have Defense Matrix instead of Tech Armor?

Yet Shep gets it as a bonus power so its possible a human can use it. The description does not say anything about being a synthetic only ability.

Shepard also gets Dark Channel through bonus powers. Does that make him a Prothean? And soldier Shepard can use biotic bonus powers, does that make soldier Shepard a biotic? None of the powers say anthing about being race specific, but it's implied that Defense Matix is a robot thing.

Well he does have the cipher and all that. The Prothean's systems all seem to think of him as being Prothean =P

Tech Armor does need a fix though, Human Sentinels just flat out ignore it in order to be effective.

Shep has killed thousands of Geth and has/had one that was a good friend.  Your human sentinel has not

Any human could probably have cybernetic implants. But I see the point no one wants Human Sentinel to get improved heh.

I personally wouldn't say they need something other than TA, but rather that TA just needs a buff.

As it is right now, the most effective Human Sentinel build is to ignore your iconic class ability completely and get everything else instead. Something about that just seems off.

You make an interesting and very valid point. Then they should divide Tech Armor (Race) so that way changing a mechanic for Humans wont make the Turian or Krogan overpowered. Human TA then should be probably weaker DR wise. TA for human should also be lighter. Perhaps 20% dR and 60% CD penalty(?)

But TA as a whole could use some Force maybe 300~400N. Since DM already uses the shield regeneration mechanic TA should not.

Oh it can work but Humans are inneficient compared to T/K.

I actually really like my Tech Armor Sentinel...

The trick is to constantly be turning it on and off. An Asari Adept can't suddenly become tanky to rez a teammate in trouble, cap a point, etc. When safely in cover, purge and power spam. And to be honest, the cooldowns on it aren't that bad even if you leave it on.

Wrong. Defense Matrix works off the same principle as Fortification - using Foucault currents to create a layer to help stop projectile attacks. It just sends energy back to shields after purging rather than buffing melee like Fortification does.

Defense Matrix can work on humans.

TA just needs a minor buff all around. Reduce the CD penalty (SP and MP) to 60%.

Plus Human Sentinels have no off-CD ability and no reason to actually use TA when they can detonate full time. Unlike Turians and Krogans who actually get some use out of TA being on (turians can't rol, krogan are beasts)

Is that a Tech?

TA should have Force 300~400N and perhaps be 60~70% cooldown penalty. I wish special armor like TA was affected even if slightly by Capacity.

Point taken. You can also spam Throw slightly more since you have a slight bit of protection which lets you stick out your head more.

After thinking about it, Barrier would be a good alternative. Kaidan is a Sentinel, but he's got Barrier instead of Tech Shields. It would also definitely change up the playstyle.

Eh. I'd still rather see a Geth Sentinel and have it get Defense Matrix.

Nah they just need to fix Tech Armor.
