I don't think the ending's as bad as Dreamfall, Bulletstorm, KOTOR II's, or a fair few others I've played, but it's up there as the biggest let-down. Dreamfall's at least made me feel something. ME3's left me empty. Certainly compared to how I'd felt with much of the game until that point.

If we're speaking in absolute terms, I'd say no, but that would depend on what your idea of a bad ending is.

In
relative terms, though - comparing the quality of the ending to the
rest of the game and to the endings of ME 1 & 2 - I'd say without a
doubt.

1: Mass Effect 3

2: Final Fantasy 13-2 dlc ending maybe? (LOL...)

3: Deus Ex Human Revolution (how ironic) but didn't expect much from this game anyway was realy good but bad ending

I don't know if it is the worst of all time. All I can say is it was the most incogruous and disappointing ending in my experience.

It did produce Marauder Shields, though.

Most video games are so horrible it doesn't matter how they end because they never should have been made in the first place. Mass Effect is different and to close excellence with Deus Ex 3 button roulette is just wrong.

Of all the games I've played, this is by far the worst ending if only for the reason that the rest of all three games was SO DAMN GOOD...and yet they managed to kill it all in ~11 minutes and retroactively poison all my good memories and feelings...

Just for that it gets the mantle of "worst..ending...EVER!!!"

As compared to the rest of the game it is a resounding yes. Just talking endings....the only one that I can think of that was worse was the ending of Bubble Bobble when you only had one player.

Probably not. For example, Borderlands ending was probably worse. However, that game isn't story driven in the first place so I wasn't really expecting a big payout in the end and it didn't disappoint me. For ME3, which focuses heavily on story elements and impactful decision-making, I was expecting much more.

Yes it did have the worst most craptastic ending in the history of gaming biggest letdown and disappointment ever.

Someone needs to turn ME3 into a verb like "don't ME3 me" where ME3 means disappont or let you down.

I wish I could go back in time and tell myself years ago don't buy or play this game because it will hurt you in the end with no closure no resolution and all bad endings. Life is full of enough darkness. Shepard was all about stomping darkness in the crotch and emerging from the ashes triumphant.

Bioware killed my inner child today stabbed her right in the face at approximately 5:51 when I beat the game.

Defeinetely the worst ending for me. Plenty of other games don't have the best endings, but I've never had one that made me feel like I'd just wasted hundreds of hours of my life.
