Even personal medals are added to the over-all experience point gain. There is no such thing as kill-stealing because the entire team gets the exact same amount of exp, every time.

What my team does, to maximize EXP gain, is allow each other to hit certain medals. But we're all tight, and we all have mics, so that helps. If three of us storm in on one sorry guy, one of us might say "oh, I need melee medal!" and we just let him run up and lay the smack down.

The best part of ME3 MP is its all about teamwork. Sure, they rank you on the score screen at the end, but if the bottom player has the gold medal for assists, then he was porbably more valuable than the guy with the gold for kills.

ME3 MP is teaching us to forget competitive gameplay and start enjoying games. Honestly, unless you are the absolute best, how many times have you played a competitive multiplayer and yell "ah, cmon, that was BS!"

I'm not saying we (my team) don't compete with each other every now and then (like who can get the last hit on the atlas?) but its all fun, because we know no one is getting special rewards for what they are doing - we all benefit.

Quote for Truth.. I tested it on playing solo & team matches (you can easily solo Bronze w/ level 20s) --YOU GET THE SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE POINTS & CREDITS as the REST of the TEAM.

Even when I killed everything all my myself solo (same number of spawns regardless of number of players), I got the same experience points  as I would in a 4 player game at end of match, NOT 4x the experience points.

repeat & could Bioware post a sticky or in the GAME TOOL TIPs & Loading Screens that :
"Even personal medals are added to the over-all experience points
gain. There is no such thing as kill-stealing because the entire team
gets the exact same amount of exp, every time."

THIS IS BECAUSE IT'S A RPG-MMO type game from Bioware's RPG roots.. it's only fair that crowd control chars who decoy, strip shields, etc share in the same total experience credits /too

If EXP/Credits were related to how many kills you get, sure.

Except, they're not. So as long as the enemy dies, and it doesn't matter by WHO, it's good by me.

This isn't an MMO.  People can't steal your experience or money and make you level slower.  Don't bring the killsteal mentality from MMOs into a game where it doesn't work like that.

Whether you're #1 on the scorelist or last makes NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER

Not really but it does annoys me if I'm charging with my krogan and a vanguard goes hurr durr and biotic charge/nova the guy I was right charging at killing the target right in front of my freakin nose.

I've died a few times from bumping into a group of enemies, I'll hit one with warp and stagger it, and just as I'm about to hit throw to detonate it and take out the full group, a sniper will headshot the thing i warped, leaving me to get shot by the enemies surrounding what I was just about to detonate.

I don't care for the kills I just want the credits from objectives. I get upset when people don't stand in the hack circle or don't kill the targets, because they want to rack up kills instead of complete objectives.

I do it as Vanguard probably quite a lot. I think it is hard to tell sometimes if someone who is fighting 3 cannibals up close is doing a fine job and doesn't need any help or they are getting owned and if you leave them to it they will die. On that basis I tend to charge with the intention of taking the pressure off.

I accept there is no logical reason to be annoyed by killstealing, we all get the same XP and winning is the goal for everyone, but that doesn't necessarily figure in when someone finds themselves being annoyed.

I don't mind it, in fact I start seeing it as a bit of a challenge if someone is constantly finishing off the enemies I start, but I do worry sometimes that I'm annoying other players, where I just want us all to have fun.

No, well sometimes just a little, just as you get the perfect shot or combo lined up.
However after playing every type of character and doing, having done it.
I'd say it's more friendly competition with players, if someone else gets that kill just think how much effort they put in.

10 - 1 it's as much as you on yours.

I don't care one little bit. If your so concerned get a mic & let us know if it means that much to you.
With everyone automatically shooting your not going to stop, how do you know the state of the persons health/cooldown & ammo count?
I sometimes let others get the kills in the earlier waves or if theres only a couple of small enemies left. Because later playing as an engineer, the drone gets a lot of assists & a few kills which might annoy a few people!

Frankly I'm more bothered by people knocking the target I have in my sight out of my sniper sights so I miss when I pull the trigger :P

Kill stealing? what? this is co-op, as long as the mob dies I don't care who kills it :o

I think people that care about kill count would target mobs first and the biggest threat on the battlefield last, as a dead banshee does count as much as a dead cannibal. But in reality I find that most people play reasonable and respect the situation. Which means that kill count hunters are probably rare. After all it is only a medal, isn't it?

I love to take down big beasts. Kill count? Doesn't matter. Credits do, so count on me to clear all money giving tasks as quick as possible.

I also found that even rushing kids tend to stay together on later waves. I don't rush but do not mind people rushing the first three waves. Gives me time for camping, have a cigarette and a coffee :-) On bronze three rushers (or even one) who know what they are doing can clear the first three waves easily. If they play krogans it is fun to watch them. Uaarrrh.

Yeah, I think I would annoy you then. I love to spam concussive shot and that is exactly, what it is doing. You are absolutely right that such a shot on a target of a sniper is bad. I try to my very best to focus on targets that aren't under fire already (unless it is a big beast, then I expect everyone to shoot at them, but my shot won't move it anyway), but sometimes....

I'd probably be bothered if I was a Soldier, but since I mostly play as an Engineer, no, not really.

I prefer to help people around and succeed, so I will gladly accept the assists.

I don't care if someone "steals" kills because I'll usually rack up a similar amount of points in assists. I actually quite enjoy throwing a stasis bubble down, capturing multiple targets, and watch an infiltrator go to town on them. It also keeps me from having to run around all over the map.

The very notion of stealing kills in a game where XP and credits are 100% shared (yes even the bonuses for 25 kills, 5 revives, and so forth) is foolish and wrong.

I love spamming the hell out of warp so everyone can focus fire on the damn banshees and brutes.
That way WE are the scariest things on the map.
It's a team game people!

No since most of the time I did the most damage to the opponent so I get the most points. Points and Credits are all that matter in ME3 Multiplayer. Kills mean nothing.

I admit I am probably guilty of killstealing, but it's not something I ever really thought about. It's just that when (especially against geth) I'm playing an engineer, I tend to run around and pretty much triple overload (2 jumps) everything in sight followed by quick pops with my carnifex. It just seems to be the quickest way to deal with the enemy (again, particularly against the geth.)

Sorry if that's ticked some folks off...

It does bother me a lot. I have a feeling, that if i don't kill enough enemies i'm worthless to my team. And i feel saddened when my input in killing someone is invalidated, because of someone's random bullet.

Beside playing a supporting task that fools the enemy with drones, immobilizes him by biotics or tears down its shields or barriers, another valuable team input is to cover sectors no one else seems to care for - the game likes to fool too focused teams on the higher waves. Or spent that rocket to clear a developing mess no one else seems to think of in the heat of the battle. And to save the asses of those over-agressive vanguards and sentinels which are prominent damage dealers but tend to go down more often then others. Although that highly depends on the skill of those players. The better part doesn't need assistance but there are the others....

I am playing a solder and found that vanguards and sentinels beat me pointwise easily. As do sniping infiltrators - but less, as "kill-sharing" between a front-line fighter and a sniper happens far more frequently (here the damage output of the front-line fighter is most often wasted, as a sniper is a one-shot-one-kill-mob-killer). All these classes are more efficient in mob killing then a soldier. The points they rack up in the early waves I never catch up. But it turns out that I am always dealing the major part of the damage to the bigger targets, geth primes, brutes, banshees etc.
