What my team does, to maximize EXP gain, is allow each other to hit certain medals. But we're all tight, and we all have mics, so that helps. If three of us storm in on one sorry guy, one of us might say "oh, I need melee medal!" and we just let him run up and lay the smack down.
The best part of ME3 MP is its all about teamwork. Sure, they rank you on the score screen at the end, but if the bottom player has the gold medal for assists, then he was porbably more valuable than the guy with the gold for kills.
ME3 MP is teaching us to forget competitive gameplay and start enjoying games. Honestly, unless you are the absolute best, how many times have you played a competitive multiplayer and yell "ah, cmon, that was BS!"
I'm not saying we (my team) don't compete with each other every now and then (like who can get the last hit on the atlas?) but its all fun, because we know no one is getting special rewards for what they are doing - we all benefit.
Quote for Truth.. I tested it on playing solo & team matches (you can easily solo Bronze w/ level 20s) --YOU GET THE SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE POINTS & CREDITS as the REST of the TEAM.
Even when I killed everything all my myself solo (same number of spawns regardless of number of players), I got the same experience points as I would in a 4 player game at end of match, NOT 4x the experience points.
repeat & could Bioware post a sticky or in the GAME TOOL TIPs & Loading Screens that :
"Even personal medals are added to the over-all experience points
gain. There is no such thing as kill-stealing because the entire team
gets the exact same amount of exp, every time."
THIS IS BECAUSE IT'S A RPG-MMO type game from Bioware's RPG roots.. it's only fair that crowd control chars who decoy, strip shields, etc share in the same total experience credits /too
