My biggest pet peeve.

Yesterday, this idiot accused me of stealing his kill and it was a Cannibal. I think because it was a "priorty target" he thought it was some big bad. If someone complains about kill stealing it is a sure fire sign they have no idea what they are doing. Don't even understand what objectives are and how you get credits. I left the game I was so disgusted.

It is very very easy to level up characters. Getting credits should be the only thing you are worried about. If having the highest score in a match is very important to you, well you need to get a mother trucking life.

Again this. I hate people lile this. I had a turian player stand in front of me constantly to 'prevent' me getting kills. I laughed at him because frankly your turian is not faster then my drell. Still people like that are working against the team and not with it.

I had an incident happen where me and another guy are fighting off swarms of troopers and what-not while another guy is tackling an Atlas on his own. He holds his own, kudos to him, but once we manage to swath our way through the troopers, we immediately flank the Atlas. One of us gets the final kill and the guy went like, ballistic over the mic.

Nobody else in the match spoke, but he kept ****ing about that Atlas kill like it was if we had kicked his dog. Meanwhile, I maintain that I did the right thing. I was pinned down, but kept moving towards the major threat on the map. Once I arrived, I assisted my teammate in putting it down. That's kind of the point of the game, methinks.

I just started playing MP this weekend (Bronze only) and it doesn't bother me. As long as my teammates recognize that I'm a team player and not dead weight and don't judge my value based on the mission summary screen. Regarding the latter, I've landed both at the top and bottom, depending on how good the randoms I play with are. And I usually do better on some maps vs. others.

Don't worry. It's only the "kill stealing!" wankers that look at the score screen anyway. Everyone else just hits Skip/Continue and moves on. But they like sitting there and seeing they were #3 on the sheet, and thus BETTER than one other person! (who was likely grabbing all the objectives in every mission, and thus had 3 rounds where he wasn't doing anything.)

If you help with objectives and don't die every 3 seconds, 99% of the players are going to think you're just fine.
(and if you DO die every 3 seconds, stick to a team member and try to stay in cover every now and then. You can play bronze just fine without being in cover, but it's something you gotta learn. At the start, stay in cover and spam some abilities.)

it bothers me when it impedes my combos in situations where that combo would do damage to multiple targets, otherwise i don't care.

Exactly, everyone here seems to be on the same page. I think PSN has the worst MP community by far. They think the point of the game is having there name above everyone elses. The other day I got all the objectives without any help and somewhow got the 2nd highest score. I was like what are you guys doing?

Yup... this bothers me... not kill-stealing. When I'm playing with friends, we know that the faster you get an objective done, the better the team credits are, so we try to get them as fast as we can. On public, it seems like most players ignore objectives, and just keep blasting away at stuff.

kill stealing only exists in FFA deathmatch games, everyone vs everyone. you're shooting at some guy, another enemy comes out and pops your current target stealing your kill. stealing implys it's an outside party. in mass effect 3 co-op multiplayer you have 3 team-mates, who are all helping each other, stealing doesn't exist here.

end of story.

It doesn't bother me at all. Team effort = win. Also, different play classes are better equipped to quickly finish off a target.

Only time it matters is if a Krogan is trying to rage and someone decides that husk must die NOW!

One guy even went so far as to send a message to my gamertag after the game just to call me a "killstealer". He had the highest amount of kills of us all, yet he had to complain about those couple. lol

When I was leveling my adept, vanguards charging in and kill stealing used to tick me off to no end. Other than that ... not really annoying. I'm sure I annoy the heck out of people on my engineer.

It bugs me to no end.

I realize you get exp no matter what but it's still irritating to take out 99% of an atlas' health, have that one freaking vanguard charge in and get 1000 exp while I get +86 assist.

I don't care if the exp is shared. I still want to get some kills once in a while. It feels like a race every time I play with a vanguard (it's really just vanguards)

So I take out the entire first wave of creeps with a frag. An N7-4 says "This guy is stealing all the kills!"
Um... No. I am getting kills. Earning them. Not every "kill theft" complaint is legitimate. Some people just like to whine.

I see two major problems with "kill stealing" and mostly they are just lack of awareness on the "stealer's" part.

1. Using a power or slow fire weapon to kill something i was about to kill anyway, when you could have killed/controled something else and helped the team.

2. People overly concerned with getting kills who run off and over extend, and then get mad when I dont res them because "look their score is so high! they must be carrying us"

Patience and timing are far more important than your score.

Snipers are just as bad Delta.. I should know, been doing it a bit last two days.
I like the majority don't think of it as stealing though, you've got to think of it as a what if.

Ok Vanguard / sniper A takes out the atlas or Guardian.. Likely helping as you pop shoot it.
Atlas is down team then stops focusing on giant magnet and starts looking round to see the half dozen phantoms, a few dozen engineers and turrets and the many Nemesis suddenly everywhere.

A kill is a kill, if someone sees it as a competition, that's their damn fault.

I just hate it when I pop off ten headshots in a row and some dick with shockwave starts spamming it at me.

..then eventually he goes down and I watch him bleed to death or use up a medi gel. I don't give a damn about who gets what kill, but the moment you show me you care more about that then the match, you are no longer a teammate.

Also people who tell me to switch my class. If I wanted to play Adept, I wouldn't come into the game as my Sentinel. I'll still help them up, I just have a much shorter fuse with those people.

Nope. I'm just playing to have fun. I could care less if I get 99% damage on a dude and someone get the kills. It happens, I have no reason rage over something so trivial in a team based game.

No. It doesn't too much. Losing is what bothers me. It happens too often.

In the words of the Police "I can't, I can't, I can't stand losing, I can't, I can't stand losing"

So if people assisting me in killing enemies is the path to victory, then so be it. I want to win. That's all I care about. Winning grants experience points. Experience points grants packs. If I'm lucky I get another alien to play as!

As far as I'm concerned, killstealing doesn't exist in ME3 MP. You got the kill on the enemy I was working on? Sweet! One less to worry about.

The only thing that bothers me is when I'm playing a biotic user and can't set off any biotic explosions for aoe damage. That's about it though.
