Killstealing - Does it really bother you?

Won every single time, even one time where two of us dced on the same round. We rejoined and still won. I've been 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th. It never bothered me because I knew all 4 of us played important roles.
And it shouldn't bother anyone.

I must admit the constant screen shaking annoys me to no end when I'm trying to snipe with the Mantis. That's not really kill stealing, and that's not really anyone's fault though. The game just shouldn't make my screen shake all the time when someone else uses a power.

I try to explain over the headset to apparent newcomers that we all get credit bonuses for completing objectives faster, and that they should focus on those. But NOOOoooooooo......

A bit when it's obvious that people are trying to interrupt your combos and such. Otherwise it's just about getting things killed as fast as possible.

Yeah, I hate shockwave because of that. One of my freinds in the demo would spam that mofo all the time. Drove me NUTS when I'd play inflitrator.

Yeah, that is annoying I must admit but I've also been the noob shooting the floating enemies too when playing with randoms, most of them don't have the recharge rate to actively biotic boom kill something themselves so I don't wait to see, just KILL IT! KILL IT DEAD!
Heh, that's why I check people's weapons in lobby. Adept's shouldn't be running anything more than a single pistol. +200% recharge rate is legit.
The most annoying thing about it is if I trap 2-3 mobs from a large group in Singularity, fire off a Warp... and someone snipes the one I fired Warp at. GG, now we just lost a boatload of AoE damage on 5+ targets because you can't wait 2 seconds between headshots.

Just to add, if I can biotic combo it, I WILL ALWAYS biotic combo it. Therefore, I love playing with proper adepts and not the lolwut sniper and shotgun adepts with no recharge rate.
I've had a few games where it's me as a Drell Adept and someone else as an Asari one, and we just run around comboing everything as a 2 man team, and it is glorious.

Now I want to go play ME1, again. Oh, the armor and weapon upgrades in that game are soooo satisfying :3 But yeah, driving a Mako over a rock planet can be frustrating. I remember playing ME1 with my 8 year old cousin, cruising some random planet. He asked my why I was driving so bad. "IT'S NOT ME, IT'S THE GAME!!"
I'm actually tempted to do a full playthrough of the entire series back to back to back. The longest part of ME1 though is getting that Mako to not pull a full 180 because I ran over a pebble.

I'm all about the "monies" as well, personally. I don't care how many kills I get "cheated" out of; the only thing that bothers me is when teammates aren't focusing on the objectives. On a hacking objective, there should be four players in the circle at all times unless a grenade is thrown into the center of our group or a Brute/Banshee/whatever other large, angry enemy has decided it wants to help us hack faster. If teammates aren't working toward objectives, I feel like I'm being cheated out of time bonuses I'd otherwise be getting (or, for the matter, we may just lose the objective outright, depending on how crappy said teammates could be).

I've stopped trying. Most don't even have headsets and if they do, they are in their own party or have the headst off but plugged in..... I can see the green light... I know you have a working headset.... hello... hello

Did the same with my Human Sentinel... Throw on all the Drell's Reaves. Everything was just blowing up everywhere.

So I don't care about XP.
But it's still annoying to have people running around stealing kills.
I do it to others all the time but never intentionally, it's just reflexes to be shooting at enemies regardless of who's near them.

Slightly more if said geth is hacked
I've got nothing wrong with killstealing inherently.
It's just that killstealing, sometimes comes with other poor decisions tagged along.
Like when someone breaks cover just to killsteal, and ends up forcing the team to rez his ass.

Well... I have earphones, but no mic. so I can hear comments fine... even though most of them, I don't WANT to hear... LOL
Example:
"You see that, bro?"
"cooooooo"
"like.... that Banshee ripped my F****'ing head off."
"coooo..."
*Wishes for a mute button.*
Anyway.... Seems like most characters I play as support, and try my hardest to finish objectives as fast as possible, revive fallen party members.... and worry about kills last. *shrugs* I'd rather last all 11 waves, myself, than worry about stupid medals and scores.

I've started doing that. I guess I am too much of a snob from my mmo days. You kit your gear for role, that's just how it's done. Everyone wins. Everyone gets paid.

Lol, fair enough. Now I'm gonna be paranoid and think everyone with a green light can hear me now...

Exactly, besides what's it matter, you all get the same amount of xp anyway.Neofelis Nebulosa wrote...
I am honest, I play competitively. Tnat measn of course I want to be on the top of the score board if possible. That however only applies when I can play like this. If the situation is that my current playstlye doesn't fit, I relegate to a support role. I am a bit bummed, but as long as we win the match, everything worked great.
Though I can get a tad miffy when someone constantly shoots my targets dead when I was just aiming at them, though more at the wasted efficiency when two people are going for the same targets rather then him/her "stealing the kill".
There is no kill stealing in ME3, it's kill helping.

Or if I just pulled away a trooper's shield and some genius winfiltrator decides to headshot it instead of one of the other shield-carrying guys nearby... thanks for wasting both of our time. We could've been killing two enemies for that effort instead of just one.
