I'll give all my kills to somebody else, as long as I get my credits for the match.

"No! Don't shoot the warped guy I'm about to send into orbit along with the rest of his friends, shoot that damn Centurion flanking me!"

Kill stealing is no problem. Short-sightedness is another!

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I don't even consider it a "steal".

I'm not really in a position to complain about kill-stealing since my throw-spamming sentinel is pretty much the master of it.

You get more points, as a TEAM, for assists. There's no such thing as kill-stealing in a co-op game like this. Looking at yourselves as separate entities and not a single unit is an attitude that doesn't belong on a team. Regardless of who kills who, the end result (exp and cred total) is the same. If it bother anyone that much, play singleplayer.

I can understand frustration when it comes down to the following situation: in the midst of taking down an enemy, an infiltrator fires a cloaked shot from a black widow into its face when it has only a couple segments of health left. This would be frustrating only from the perspective of "That should would have been more effectively placed on an enemy with greater health, as you have wasted a large portion of your potential damage by shooting this enemy."

Things like this are less likely to happen, however, if you communicate with your team, pair off to monitor specific zones, and alert teammates when extra support is required.

A little, not enough to get me mad. Maybe if it's in succession and it just kept happening over and over.

It only bothers me if someone uses charge to essentially teleport from one side of the map to the other and take a kill on an infantry so I get an assist +241. That's just crap. But otherwise I have no problem with it.

Assists and furthermore the medals associated with them all add up.

I consider it a steal if its some trash like an Atlas. Some people sit there and let you do all the work, not firing, then take one shot at the end as you reload or something.

What really bothers me the most is these powers that mess up sniping. Shaking my screen or what I am shooting is kind of uncool

This only bothers me when someone comes in and specifically sees me lining up a headshot/trying to get my 15 melee kills on an enemy with a sliver of health left, that obviously poses no threat to me and which I am trying to kill in a specific way, and then they frantically shoot/charge at it in an attempt to steal it.

The only issue is the medals are player-specific. So if, during the course of a match, someone steals 20 of your kills, the other player that got 75 kills instead of 55 kills, they get the exp for the medal.. nobody else does.

That's really the only downside. Of course, the exp from medals is so mediocre, it doesn't really make a difference. I'd rather somebody steal 2/3 of my kills, and play on unknown map and unknown enemy for the.. what, 15% or 25% total extra exp.. getting 140k exp on bronze instead of 102k exp is better than earning a few medals that gives maybe 5k more exp.

It doesn't even bother me in games where you don't share rewards. The only time a killsteal should bother you is in a FFA match in a shooter.

it bothers me when people always focus the guy lifted by my singularity, so I can never do biotic-combos.

Like Mr. Weeks said. '' It's not kill stealing, it's kill helping''

this does bother me.

its more like lacking combat awareness. that enemy is already dead, fucos on the one still with his feet on the ground instead. plus you gotta know if someones got singularity up, they are no doubt waiting to use a warp on it. even sentinels hate seeing floating enemies downed by gunfire.

For the people who keeps saying "stop whining," you clearly have never played with someone who's a pro at kill stealing. They literally will wait til your target is one hit from death, so that its a sure kill steal. Anyway, I don't mind it on gold or with krogans/vanguards because that's what they do, otherwise they wouldn't be effective to the team.

I prefer to say, "I'm not stealing your kill, I'm GIVING you an ASSIST."

It's a Coop game, so no, i have no issue with "kill stealing". As long as we all make it to the Extraction and get out it's all gravy.

It only bothers me when its a dumb move - e.g. when i'm whittling down a trooper, it has 1 bar of health left, and the dude with the Widow finishes him off when there are 6 other targets he could have shot at.

Otherwise, who cares.  XP and credits are all completely shared, right?

I didn't even know this mentality existed. You need to co-operate not compete with your team.

Take it from someone who plays vanguard more often than other classes.

Those powers that cause the screen to shake? They're extremely short range, and we don't follow snipers around spamming powers just to throw off your aim. More often than not, if your screen gets all shaky it's because there's something big and mean right behind you that was getting ready to take a bite out of, ram a sword up, or straight-up shoot your ass.

Unscope every once in a while and take a look around, or find sniping spots that aren't in prime positions for something to sneak up and do aforementioned nasty things to your heiney, and perhaps you won't get shaky-screen syndrome as often.

when I'm playing with my friends I sometimes gloat when I steal a kill from them, but it does not matter in the slightest when anyone steals a kill from anyone. Team exp, team game - win or die by your squad.
