I would be quite happy if some nice modder released a mod that allowed mages to go both the Human noble origin, or the Dalish one(depending on race obv). The fact that mages are the only class locked to a single origin is quite silly in my opinion, -slight spoiler-since during the game we encounter both. Why give NPC's more opportunites than then PC's?-end spoiler-.

The one case is an Apostate, if you go by the lore; the other may not actually be a Mage, but I haven't finished that quest line yet.
