Hi,

I've started replaying NWN2 and I've noticed an odd thing. Qara can't cast certain spells like Fireball, even though every requirement is set. I just get the 'No uses or preparations left for that spell' message.

Anyone else bumped into this issue ?

Have you rested so that she can regain her spell to begin with? After resting hit "F" to bring up quick cast and see if there are spells listed there, try using those instead of the toolbars.

Yeah, I noticed one problem:  her xp was set at lvl 1, but her class was set at 6, so I think the game is giving her spells, then marking them as unavailable.  Since I leveled  her up, I've switched out some spells, which seems to allow them to cast normally, and new spells act as normal too.  Very odd.

It sounds like you've solved the spellcasting issue.  Why was she set to 0 XP, though?  Any mods?

Yeah. Can't recall the name, but it allows companions to be multiclassed.  Almost certainly the reason for the bug.  Luckily, she's the only one who's suffered a bug from it.
