Just going through that Final Hours-app for iPad. Mac says in a video that the ending doesn't explain much on purpose:

'The existence of the Reapers and where they first came from, those are answers we intentionally don't want to get in to right now, we don't wanna talk about them, because sometimes leaving them open to interpertation is sometimes better.'

He says BioWare does know the details, and they had a lot of extra questions you could ask the omgbigaliensuperrobot-AI/starchild, but they decided to keep it 'high level' so we can figure it out for ourselves.

It also shows a note in which BioWare expects the fans to be 'Boy, but why did he have to die?' leading to 'Lots of speculation from everyone'. And there is something about 'End of the first matrix' and 'Brave new world'. Also 'They say bomb'. Can't figure out most of that note.

Other stuff:
- There is a deleted scene in which you see your squad die in London before entering the beam. It's quite dramatic. Garrus and Liara getting destroyed by the Reaper's laser.
- Crucible will cause 'galactic dark age'.
- The original idea (before Mass Effect 1) was that humanity was designed as slaves for the Protheans. Which made us extra special because we were engineered to use Prothean technology, unlike the other species.
- Casey: 'Everyone is going to have a different ending to some degree based on their choices and their galactic readiness, so it wass important for me to have one final scene where everyone has the exact same experience.'
- New Mass Effect games will take place before or during the events of Mass Effect 3, not after.
- A picture of Casey's wife which is encouraged to 'tap, then pinch and zoom'.
- Jacob Taylor survived the suicide mission in 93.3 percent of all games, Tali only 75.7.
- Multiplayer FPS stuff.
- 8 percent of the readers want a MMO, 17 percent a prequel, 66 percent want Mass Effect 4.

I'm surprised Tali died that much and still was as heavily featured as she was.

Not that I'm complaining.

Jacob survived more often than Tali? There's something that seems very wrong about that.

Yeah...it's fun to speculate over the ending of a trilogy. Closure is for hacks like Tolkien.

I liked Jacobs character far more than Tali's. His story was very similar to that of Shepards. Used by the politicians and admirals, and then thrown under the bus as a result. It was nice to see him get a family in ME3.

Speculating for yourself is completely idiotic.

Yeah... closure is for "losers"..

If the ending is final..this guy should get fired for what he did to this story..

So, what you're saying is that this is a case of incompetence, not malice?

I assure you that you are in the minority on this one.

Yeah, really explains why Hudson lied about the endings then. He knew damn well what they are gonna be. Liar.

Frankly after reading that I have to say both.

My guess is because she is often sent into the vents and there is that confrontation with legion where one of them can lose loyalty which is actually difficult to resolve unless you imported an me1 character.

I don't want an MMO, Bioware already failed at their TOR MMO I dont want another.  I want an ending that makes sense.

So we save the galaxy from destruction...by returning it to the dark ages? How is that considered a good ending in the ME universe? Not even Warhammer 40K is THAT grimdark!

Thanks Mac. Thanks so much, for shooting our closure in the face.

And thanks, Casey, for the promise of complicated endings. And choices.

Whatever. Everything I want to say would get me thrown off the forums.

Just hold the motherf***ing line.

So they intentionally gave us a poor ending. And have confirmed what many fans know. That destroying the relays kills trillions of people.

Good. So long as we're clear on why it is HORRIBLE!

I can agree with that, but not with teleporting squadmates and Normandy's inexplicable actions. That's just bad storytelling.

Only 8 percent want MMO? Faith in humanity restored!

90% wants a better ending but let's completely ignore that little fact. I can't take these statements serious anymore. First DA2, then SWTOR and now ME3.
