So rather than support your colleagues, rather than provide insight into the professional creative environment, you construct this long, self-aggrandizing condemnation for the Mass Effect 3 ending writers, and use your alleged credentials to support a position that has been repeated ad nauseam since release day?
This topic was made a month ago, not long after release day, unlike your post it was timely. The idea was to bring attention to the technical failings rather than the emotional responses most players had, I succeeded in that sense. As for "self-aggrandizing", it's a nice parthian shot but I'd appreciate if you could point out such moments.
ah, I didn't read the date; scratch that last bit, but I stand by the rest. Why do you want to see their efforts continue to backfire? Why do you want to see these writers damned for their contributions in a field very closely resembling your own? Have you never faced criticism, as a professional screenwriter? Have you ever worked in a team setting? Were you ever called a hack? How confident are you in your writing? Why did you use the word Parthian?

I'm too old for strawmen, my friend.

Convenient, that. I am not too old to invoke him.
And we're not friends.
This thread is upsetting. Sorry, chief. Had you presented your points as a fan instead of a professional writer, I wouldn't be so indignant.

If I'm being unclear, pick up your favorite novel, and remove the last two chapters and replace them with the first two chapters of any other book in your collection. Rather jarring, no?

I would add something, but I don't think there's anything to add. Maybe that I would prefer an actual boss fight with Harbinger and the rest of ME3 to be fixed, but given the starting point of the OP's fan fiction ending, it's definitely one of the best endings that could be written.

- No previous cycle had ever been able to unify all of their diverse spacefaring races under one banner against the Reapers in time. (Reinforcement of Javik statement in regards to the Protheans and the theme of unification and cooperation against a universal enemy)
This one is my favourite. This is what makes current cycle and Shepard unique. All cycles had their heroes, but all were defeated. This is the only reason why this cycle have a chance. And if Shepard didn't manage to unite everybody, must come a bad ending. Rachni must be taken into account also.
Thanks for interesting thoughts )

Damn, I wish I had gotten your ending, (although the use of EMS works for me only if BW disconnects SPG from MP.)
