Nah. chess players only say checkmate when they've actually won, or when they're mocking those that say checkmate regularly

I'm independent, but you'll probably say that makes me a liberal, so whatever. You have me on the unemployed by a technicality though. in college, don't have on-campus transporation, but worked over spring break (the week ME3 came out). Also, cheetos suck. Doritos forever.

And you feel entitled to make -false- judgements about what we feel about ourselves.

checkmate.

If I may also point out that that mintycool always ends in a checkmate. I find that ineresting.. I have seen mintymints threads and she / he has been shot down and proven wrong many times... But if that happens how can it be a checkmate. checkmate is when you win... As far as I can tell she / he hasn't yet, or even gotten close to a checkmate. Just brash basseless insults is all I see.

Do you even know how a checkmate is used?

I support this 10,000%.

Enough is enough people. It's just a video game. Grow up.

Jim Sterling was completely correct in calling you entitled brats.

It's been confirmed the endings are the ones BioWare intended. No more "hold the line". Time to move on.

Yes Jim Sterling's douche rant is a lot more informed and factual than the last 4-5 Forbes articles.

So we our valid consumer opinions should be erased? I'm horrified at how brainwashed consumers are in this day and age. Is it yet another failing of public school that they'll believe anything?

They post because they feel entitled to only have one side of the debate discussed. Again, they lose the message war when they do this.

The whole reason for creating a thread is to have others comment on them.  They are not private conversations.

@MintyCool
If you fully read what I posted, I said the best way to find out is to ask your peers in a non-biased way. I said the polls were only one facet to draw information from. My point was to draw conclusions from a variety of sources, both statistical and personal impartial fact gathering, and not just assuming your initial thoughts are the preordained truth.

And stop saying checkmate after every statement. This is a discussion and your assertions aren't going to end it just because you want them to. Treat opinons as just that. If you disagree fine. Analyze what was said and provide evidence supporting your point. Don't just say someone is wrong, disreagarding the core of what they are saying, just because they disagree with your views. That is not how logical discussions are held.

Well I take that as a insult for a few reasons.
1. liberal-Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values

seeing how voiceing ones opnion is a traditional value you sir are useing the word wrong not a one of them has said anything about discarding that.

also people not agreeing with how someone does something isn't new what so ever.

2. Cheeto's are gross.

Yeah.. I never understood the Cheetos as related to shut in no life gamer cliche'.... I mean... any computer gamer worth their HDMI cable knows that Cheetoh dust would gum up your limited edition $300 Keyboard and $400 12-button mouse. :P

Hey - don't be too harsh on the OP and their friends.

Pseudo-intellectuals who prop up their egos by telling themselves they're one of the few who "get" the "true art" of the writing and thus are elevated above all the "plebs" ( ... checkmate ... ) need a place to hang as well.

Can you please tell me where I ever said anything remotely like that?  Did I say you guys weren't getting something?  No, I didn't.  Why does it have to be "you don't get it" or "I don't get it"?  Can't it simply be we disagree about the ending?  But, that's not even what the thread is about to begin with.

wesr wrote...

Again, nothing about my OP said you should be silenced or your views erased.  I don't know where you guys are getting this from.

A movement requires work, and you're too lazy for that. A similar example would
be how people watch the YouTube doc about Kony and then lazily contributed to
the cause by changing their Facebook status....

Hold the line? lol.
If you really did have this much passion, it would be a shame that you're
wasting it on a 15min pixel cutscene; and not contributing to something

Why would there be so many threads? I mean, arent they the vocal minority?
Confusing.
That's because we are not the minority. It's based on the idea for every one
person who voices they don't like something, there are ten that stay quiet.
Look at the polls or get a real world statistic and describe the ending in
detail in non-biased form to one of your friends or family and get their
opinion. You will see there is a common trend. Don't assume a view is in the
minority just because you disagree with it. Especially when it's not just here.
If you go to the Mass Effect Wikia page you'll see it's there too.
Factually incorrect, please do not discuss topics concering statistics,
mathmatics, or polling, when it is obvious you have no understanding on how
polling generally works....
Actually, you are part of a niche that shares your interests. This niche
makes you feel like you're part of a majority but in reality, the people who
agree with you would be a rather minuscule percentage overall. Hate groups
huddle in the same type of places, but they do this to feed their own hate
because there message wouldn't fly publicly.
You may notice that no one is talking about your passionate plea in the Main
Street Media. You are being ignored just like Occupy, and with time you will
fade away.
daguest wrote...
There is about 97% people disliking the ending, while 3% of them like it.
According to the poll. I'm sorry if you are part of a very small minority of
people.
I would love to see more of your well researched findings...
Having polls with niche-factual-fallacies is far from having actual evidence to
support your cause; you're actually doing yourself a disservice more than
anything.
KustomDeluxe wrote...
OP: Have you ever heard of critical mass?
Basically, it's when there is enough fissible nuclear material in close proximity
to other fissible nuclear material that a chain reaction of protons starts and
there is a gigantic energy release that is oftentimes violent if not delayed in
some manner.
THAT'S what a separate forum for ending threads would do.
If you want an in-game example of what would happen just look at this
Honestly do you people even consciously think about what you're typing?
You state false claims that include an even more embarrassing analogy. Many

You may have noticed the outcry about the ending is already dissipating, why?

It takes work to be angry; you're intellectually incapable of focusing for a
long enough period of time to actually cause change. Most of you are
incapable of even reading to this point of the article.

At the moment, the public views you as the political equivalent to the Occupy
Wall street crowd. You are a joke. You come up with ridiculous theories that
only spook conspirators' would believe; you introduce props and cheap gags like
charities that only smudge up your message. You are simply noise.

Funny how people who think they're smarter than everyone else have to go around telling everyone else how much smarter they are.

Kinda like how a good writer shouldn't have to go tell everyone that he is a good writer.

Minty, you want your arguments to speak for themselves, Reassuring yourself that you're right by saying 'checkmate' just makes you look as childish as the people you think you're insulting.

Forums are just that. You don't want to hear other peoples' ideas and thoughts about a subject, don't enter into a forum about it.

Which concludes this issue. Now can we get a move on before this thread turns into another '' I like the ending, you don't'' one ?

And Minty...please stop using Checkmate...you are insulting a game with intellect by using it as a tool to troll. Have some self-respect and instead of insulting people , do something '' productive ''

Really, I didn't realize GameFront and the Examiner weren't main stream media.
http://www.examiner....-unsatisfactory
http://www.gamefront...fans-are-right/
How about Forbes?
http://www.forbes.co...-good-business/

As I said before don't disregard or put down someones opinions just because they differ from yours.
If you are going to try and dismantle them use evidence and proof. Not just insults.
You are entitled to your opinon, not to entitled to disregard the same for other people.
