As I said before don't disregard or put down someones opinions just because they differ from theirs.
If you are going to try and dismantle them use evidence and proof. Not just insults.

Well have you ever seen games being discussed on CNN or FOX? No.
Gaming and buisness article websites are the main source of news on games.
Therefore the major sites are main stream media for the gaming community

Almost every mainstream game site will automatically give a big game a good review. It's in their best interest. Most of the time they don't even play through the entire game, either.

I remember reading a review of MagnaCarta 1 (not a great game, but better than many reviewers said) from IGN, and they only played the game for 3 hours, and ripped into it hardcore. They didn't even understand half of the mechanics, nor did they try to.

That's like playing Halo's single-player ONLY, and then saying that the entire game is terrible.
