1. You use claims that you understand statistics and we dont, neither a fact

2. We are clearly a movement. We may not hold marches, or disrupt public order
but I'd call this a movement.

3. You say we have cheetos, when no one claimed to like cheetos previously

4. Most polls use a much smaller sample for a much larger whole. Either the
polls are accurate, or most people that like the endings don't care that we ant
them changed.

5. We have cited lore an characterization multiple times, which is factual
research

6. Many game sites have proven nothing but their opinions

7. you said checkmate many times, none of which you proved anything

1. Wrong, I stated he clearly didn't
understand. Everything else is just fabricated wishful thinking by you.

2. Lookup what movement means, you are doing a huge disservice to people who
join actual movements by stating that.

3. ****** in the armor you got me on that one. Easy carbs.

4. Reply with this question rephrased, I don't understand your point.

Looking forward to your response, checkmate.

1. pretty sure it read all of us, but i'll admit i may have misread it (i don't think i did)
2. not all movements are like the Arab Spring or the Civil Rights Movement. doesn't mean this isn't one
4. elections - in america - take a 1000 person sample for a 3000000 person whole, or 1 for every 3000 persons. we have 50000 out of 3500000 million shipped, not sold, copies, or 1 for every 17.5 persons. make that one for every 300000 persons. missed a couple zeros
5. easy example; squadmates got from Earth, onto the Normandy, out past Pluto, and through a Relay in the time it took us to get to the catalyst, even if we saw them dead.
6. the opinion of the writer
7. I was refering to in that post

I support this 10,000%.

Enough is enough people. It's just a video game. Grow up.

Jim Sterling was completely correct in calling you entitled brats.

It's been confirmed the endings are the ones BioWare intended. No more "hold the line". Time to move on.

if you can post stuff like this, then other people can post what they want too.

free speech is pretty rad, eh?

No. ;)

Srsly, I feel for you OP, it's just that many of us find discussing the beginning and middle of the story to be a moot point when there is no ending.

Thank you :)  Nice to know not all of you thought I was trying to make you all shut up.

There should be two stickied threads. One pro ending and one against the ending

and two stickied threads where the people who liked the ending and disliked the ending can sound off, so we have a difinative minority/majority

Now those are good alternative solutions!

Ok, for everyone still scrambling their responses to this heated 'debate,' let me point out there is no need to prove yourselves and your opinions to anyone, especially those who insist on using checkmate as a debate tool. Voice them, move on, end of line.

Debate is when you take claims and present evidence to support them. I say evidence and not fact because skepticism makes fact somewhat hard to find in reality.

Debate is NOT when you take your opinions and headbutt them with others in subjective and demeaning manners.

This exercise becomes even more futile and pointless when you engage others who clearly are not familiar with actual debate, people who attack insignificant chinks and nuances of their opponents rather than their evidence. Just because you wikipedia'd the Toulmin model doesn't mean you've actually mastered the art of debate.

I'm against the endings. But I'm for ending the complaint threads, because it tends to move the conversation in a defaming direction.

I'm curious as to why some of you post on these forums.

"I disliked the ME3 ending, but I'll defend it anyway. I hated Dragon Age 2, I hated ME2, I hated ME1. DA Origin was okay, I GUESS."

Trolls.

Denial of what? We acknowledge that the ending sucks, no denial there. We understand that BioWare doesn't have to act on the situatuon to our benifit. We are holding hope that they will listen and "look into" the isue of the stupid (and dishonest) ending. Which is happening anyways, so we are holding nothing but the line.

Looking forward to your response.

1) Under what data are you basing that our data is fabricated? I not only looked at the polls but have been paying attention to all the varrying people who support or disaprove the ending, while I don't have hard numbers, it was enough for my own conclusions. And most importantly I gave a detailed summary to my friends and coworkers and asked what they thougt, as this is the best way to find out on a small scale of people who have similar tastes as you. I leant my copy to a friend so he could see it for himself. I don't take major game reviewers as quality info sources, as they often have major bias, and tend to fall into one category of gamers. You have yet to provide countering evidence to anything I have said, other then saying I don't know what I'm talking about. Which is more rather condicending opinon rather then fact.

2) There are many definitions for movement, but this definition that fits most
Movement - "a group of people working together to achieve a particular goal."
That sounds like exactly what we are. A group of people working together to have ME3's ending fixed.
A movement can be civil, orderly, and intelligent while still getting their point across.
In fact that is usually the most productive course of action.

3) Not really sure if your conceding or being condicending so I won't comment on this.

4) Mahrac is saying that polls are intended as a ratioed sample of a particular demographic. In this case Bioware fans.

5) Mainly the plot holes, inconsistencies, and lack of choice. I laid some of them out in response to Bioware asking what we disliked about the ending and what we liked about the game.
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/gecvci

6) The opinions of the game reviewers who work for them. Often it is only one person, who is not always inclined to the genre he is asked to review. And good reviews get them more money, so they are inclident in the cases of power game companies to give them good reviews. So they are by no means impartial.

7) I'm not touching this with a 6 foot pole. Mainly because I already went over all of what was wrong with it, in regard to your previous posts.

Checkmate indeed.

I am also seeing that a lot around here.  It seems that when someone puts up a logical arguement that puts an end to some of the anti new ending people arguements, they seem to ignore and retreat..  It is interesting.
