Finally! I am glad to hear that people are actually letting their feelings on the game be heard. Maybe if they loose enough money they will learn from there mistake.

oh you mean the 'mistake' of writing an ending they are happy with? oh, I missed the part where you worked for Bioware and owned rights to the copyright and had producer level status on the project lol. Amazon ratings will do nothing just like the metacritic, and every other sad form of internet whining

Another one who is Indoctrinated and feel like they are Bioware's Avatar spokesperson, *claps*

Sorry but the negative user review scores are accurate. of course the major factor in them is the ending but it is probably the most important feature of the end of a trilogy and they went a awful plothole ridden railroaded dog turd of a one.

Enjoyed ME3 a lot. Endings were fine with me. Guess if you don't get a soap opera ending with rainbows and bunnies nerd rage results. Makes gamers look worse then Bioware. Juvenielle drama queen bull****.

Meh, they have a history of tripping on the finish line of a series, remember Dragonage 2 and how it was a completely different game than fans expected?

ME3 gets a 100% rate from me, call me a fanboy or whatever, but the ending is perfect in my eyes. Unlcear is why something else happened, but that might be explained in a DLC or another game in the same universe.

Idiots probably just review bombed it. "OMG 5 MINUTE ENDING MADE IT DA WURST GAME EVA!!"

No, and that's an ignorant statement that is insulting to the reviewers I read.

I read the first five or ten reviews.

They included 3 and 4 star reviews.

No one liked the ending. Everyone gave articulate reasons as to why (A) the endings sucked (B) how they felt the ending damaged the game. The three star reviwer took an entire star away just for the endings and gave quite a bit of reasoning as for why.

The give the game a lot more credit than you give them.

So.. now... who is behaving idioticly.... or at least has made statements revealed as hypocritical?

And they wonder why people are calling them entitled brats. Hm. I wonder. It's dumb that they give the game as a whole a score like that.

Another hypocritical statement by someone who never read the reviews but complains that someone else was being shallow and simplistic.

Then try. I'd like to hear it. maybe you can change my mind. Otherwise, right back at you. I can't say because you've given me no points to refute in your position.

This is only going to harm the people working at BioWare.

That's exactly what we want. This is BioWare's and only BioWare's fault.

I hope Riccitiello shuts down their company after all the sales they've lost.

They can end the series as poorly as they want. They have always said that some people will hate the endings. The problem is the product the advertised is not the one they delivered. Choices throughout the games determine the ending? Radically different endings? Not pulling a lost when that's what they intended to do all along? No, if anything the game deserves a 0 or a rating of product did not match the advertisements. That's like a Bissel releasing a vacuum cleaner that promises years worth of use and then 90% of the break in one month.

Or just forces them to fix endings and keeps a close eye on Bioware not to do this ever again.

You obviously haven't read any of the complaints. I'm happy you're happy with the endings, CORECTION,  ENDING.  I respect the fact that your shepherd's experience was complete, answered and full of closure as promised by bioware. I'm glad that you feel your choices matter to you.

Why can't you respect that it didn't work that way for som...MANY of the rest of us. It's obvious you never bothered to read anyone's complaints on ama.. ANYWHERE.

Your dismissal of our complaints is shallow and uniformed. In you it is forgivable since you are a video blogger for IGN

But it's hard to respond to your post without returning paying back your disrespect in kind. I believe we have a real grievence. If you want to tell me I'm wrong, come with your logic guns loaded.

I am not sure if I fail to see the sarcasm in that or it is meant to be serious, but if it is serious you people should get balls/overies cancer for wishing hundreds of people loosing thier jobs because you did not like 5 minute of a game.

If some of this bunch had their way, Shane would have never left the farm, and Tom Hanks would be out of a job (eg; Saving Private Ryan, Survivor, The Green Mile, etc)

Please..... everyone knows that most consumer reviews are worthless reads. Its usually about a dozen POd people who created 30 user names each.

except you need to OWN the product via Amazon to be allowed to make a review, as far as I can remember.

All this petition for a new ending might be exaggeration, but people do have a right to feel that they didn't like the ending.

Seriously should people be censored or scorned cause they're not sycophants?
Bioware made a decision to have an ending they wanted and that is fine, but this is the response, many hate it.
It's also nothing you can just sweep under the rug.
People can say the same thing about Lord of the rings trilogy and see that the very last ending is not fitting or makes it all feel for nothing or whatever IF it had a bad ending, which it doesn't I was just trying out an example of a loved series that could end up with bad taste if ending made it pointless.

This is not about entitlement, sure perhaps to some degree for the ones asking for a new ending like Bioware has too, which is bull.
But to simply think it was bad is perfectly allowed.

I will make my own conclusion when I finish the game myself, however I have been warned by the numerous posts and complaints that it might not be something I'd like.
Just hope it's not a cop-out ending, or something lazy like. It being heart wrenching, might be painful, but if it makes sense I can live with it.
There must be some consequence to this reaper invasion, they have successfully anihilated all advanced life over and over again for millions of years.

So I reserve my personal judgement on the basis if it was poorly done, not if it was like a punch in the gut.

What are you talking about?  Mass Effect 2 was much more better.  Man you people dunno what a good game is.

Really?  I seem to remember a multitude of complaints about ME2 when it first came out:
  • thermal clips
  • no weapon or armor mod slots (armor sort of does)
  • limited weapon choice - though ME1 was an illusion of choice due to spectre weap superiority
  • planet scanning
  • character development dumbed down
  • universal cooldown
  • squadmate AI,  which seemed worse in ME2 than ME3
  • the cover system
  • the ending (see a trend?)
I liked ME2 a great deal and thought it improved a lot of elements over ME1.  However, I think ME3 was even better up until the very end.

I think people are fooling themselves if they really think sites like Amazon and Metacritic don't matter. Both of these sites get millions of hits...millions! Do you honestly think negativity of this magnitude has no affect?

It does.

It drives word of mouth, and that...not professional reviews, drives sales more than anything. It can effectively make a game such as the case was with DA:O, or kill a game dead, as it was with DA2.

NO developer wants this kind of bad press. NOT A ONE!

Like a cancer, it has even made it's way into mainstream press...Forbes...and that will have a negative affect on sales. To add insult to injury, the loud and long screaming done by the voices of dissent, no matter where they originate from, have pushed the story everywhere you see or hear mention of ME3. That aint good.

The best thing Bioware can do is use the publicity to it's advantage and pull a massive "Broken Steel" to save face. They'd come out on top financially and it would go a long way to sure up an already wavering fanbase.

By the way......the customer IS STILL always right......unless you're company is planning a bankruptcy case.

Of course ratings matter, more than people seem to know - it impacts both the sales of the games and the financial predictions for the company, they are taken into account when rating companies try to establish whether EA's stock will raise or fall, whether BioWare has been a good investment or not. Low reviews means lesser revenue and massive second-hand market, it means less money for the developer and bad press for the publisher... This is how a dissatisfied customer can fight in the free market world - not only with his wallet, but also with his opinions, reviews and word of mouth.
