The endings really pissed people off. The 1 star ratings outnumber the 5 stars 3 to 1. I read some of them, and the main point of a lot of them seemed to be that while it was a great game, the endings completely invalidated the entire experience from ME1 to ME3 and ruined the replay value.
Which makes their scores legitimate.

People have problems with the game, so they blast user reviews on metacritic and amazon. It's nothing new. It's one thing to complain about a minor gameplay issue and give the game a low score, but when you bomb an ending that was five years in the making that is completely from left field, people have the right to demand action.
If someone burnt your $60 steak you'd want a new one right?
Welcome to consumerism folks.
Welcome to Entitled Consumerism, where those that believe their money actually purchases them special consideration! This week, we will see gamers froth and foam over not getting their ending to a story, while our chef actually overcooks their steak! Reality TV has nothing on us, as these buzzing bees report themselves on the internet, and think others reeeealy care!
Think I will wait for DA3 without the sound....

But does this game need to be reduced to a level where it's at or lower than E.T (the game that was dumped in landfills) or superman 64 the worst game ever? No it deserves a 7 or 8 wich pretty much says its a great game with flaws or does it need to be rated a 1-2 that says never buy this game ever? Thus making the entire IP we love never to see the light of day again.
As fare as I see it the masses are rioting and that never fixed a damn thing only makes more problems
You are also making this game look even worse than da2

Gamers are so embarrassing sometimes. We don't know what's good for us. Just a damn shame.
So true in so many ways. The dark side of personalizing games this much is that people with severe attachment issues can become completely unglued when there is any deviation from *their* conception of the gaming universe.

I don't 'work in sales' but in my summer job I coach rich kids at a sports camp. Some of their parents are nice. Some of them complain. A lot. Those are some entitled people.
When one of the parents does complain, I don't brush off their comments or even explain why I think they are wrong. I sit there and make sure they have all the facts and listen to them gripe.
If they have a request, right or wrong, smart or dumb, I try and accommodate them. Not because I want to. But because when your customer asks for something, it is always in your best interest to TRY to provide it.
And if multiple customers/parents ask for the same thing, I make damned sure it happens because even if they are the minority, chances are I'm doing something wrong.
And This.

Because of the way you've been reacting? I personally just want to know exactly what is the consenses on what would be a good ending for you guys at this point, because obviously you guys are impossible to satisfy if a ending to a game that you enjoyed up till then warrant's this wild behavior.
I have no problem if you guys want a New ending dlc........just that you pay for it.....and stop acting like brats
I'm sorry that you feel people are being "brats" because they are upset about a game they cared about. If you dont like the majority vote on this, and I do mean majority, then get off the forums.
Nah rather stay, its facinating to watch you guys go crazy over 10 minutes

I really hate modern gamers at time because the go so overboard that they often lose sight of what they originally intended that they start harpooning anything that moves. And bring down the things they love because they are upset

Definitely. And for those who think complaining about the ending is unjustified, *please* read this interview from January-
http://www.oxm.co.uk...-sophisticated/
Now, please explain to us how what we actually got in any way resembles what is talked about here?
I still have yet to see any ending supporters respond to this. All I'm asking is for someone to explain how what is stated in this interview meshes up with what we got. Maybe I'm missing something, I'm not trying to be sarcastic.
Finally. I could not find that articule. I would love to hear someone back this up.

I didn't like the food at a restaurant. I should have gathers others like me to make them change it even thouh it's a traditional Korean restaurant.
Talk about lossing sight of the arguement? it's comments like these that make your comments invalid. If you can give me a solid point on how you think gamers arnt entitilled to a game that they were told they were getting and then find out the we lied too go for it. It isnt about happy endings, of just b**ching to b**tch, Its about the fact that this game, it its intirety was dismanteled do to an ending that underminds the logic of the universe Bioware built. I for one do not like the comments that are about getting Bioware fired, or sueing them. that's dumb. I am concerned about the fact that I was lied out of 85 dollars. You dont like the fact that some of us actually give a damn about being lied to? fine quick fueling the fire and leave the comments were the lay. this is not just for you aksoileau.

I was actually just making fun of the restaurant part of arguments.
My main point is the fans are doing more damage than good when they go on sites and rate the game a one knowing that the review will never go away and harrasing the devs etc. rioting in the streets never fixes things. At this point I think mass effect in general will be a dead series because of the rioting.

The issues I asume riling up people is the blatant disregard for the thinking consumer.
There were/are statements that specifically said/says that
a) the endings would be varied and take your choices into account while being a closure.multiplayer would not be required to get the best ending.
Both of these statements seems blatantly false as people have started getting their hands dirty on the actual game.
Add Origin-required, day 1 DLC, a targeted advert at the end of the game to entice people to buy more DLC in the future and a general 'we want more money for less product' atmosphere to some of the choices Bioware are doing lately and you end up with a lot of people that just get pissed off at being treated like dumb cashcows.
That's my asumption for the backlash, anyway.
Don't respect the consumer, and the consumer will start loosing respect for you too.
Gosh, more illogical entitled whining SalsaDMA? Haven't we heard enough of that?
And still nobody seems to want to deal with Casey Hudson's public statements about what the ending of ME3 would be. If we are all so off-base then it should be a relatively simple matter to go through the article & show how every thing he said was indeed shown in what we got.

What about the fact your choices from ME1 and ME2, the most important being who survived the suicide mission, drastically changes the experience and options present for ME3. This most evident being the Tuchanka and Rannoch priority missions. Those missions play out different depending on your past choice and who survived the Suicide Mission.
The last 10 minutes invalidating the previous hundreds of hours beforehand? Please, if your that invested, personally rewrite the endings (like the Indoctrination Theory) and Deal With It. Say the endings suck, but claiming the whole game and trilogy suck because of the endings is hyperbole. Say "change the endings," but don't run the game into the ground by giving really bad reviews (1 out of 5, not 3 or 4, because of the last 10 minutes?!). That is like burning a house down to save it. BSN's negativity has reached its pinnacle; taking an unwise unsatisfactory ending and turning it into sounding like the worst thing ever in the hopes of changing it.
Good for you. Me? I'm going to replay the Suicide Mission and get most of my squad killed and replay the main story of ME3. Sure, the endings will be the same, but everything up to it won't be.

You're just as entitled, you know? Entitled to be ignorant, entitled to be silent if you have nothing to say except a tired and illogical opinion that has no bearing in the real world, entitled to sit back and enjoy whatever pile of crap any business decides to serve up, and entitled to be completely blind to the fact that your opinion is just as invalid as any other opinion.
And last but not least, you are entitled to be a complete tool if you want to be, that's also your perogative.
However I really wish you would calm down, stop acting so high and mighty, and just accept that you can't dictate how other people feel about a product or don't. You seem to forget a VERY simple concept called... SUPPLY AND DEMAND.
If a company supplies us with crap products, we as consumers have the right to DEMAND that they either change the product for the better in some way OR the DEMAND will simply stop for their products at all.
This is called FEEDBACK.
And one final note... if you went to college AT ALL you would understand these VERY SIMPLE concepts, so please, go educate yourself. Don't be a fool - Stay in school.
