I've been trying to solve this problem ever since the ME3 forums became registered users only. Nothing in the faq/help pages the forum links you to when you try to register the game have done anything. I have been emailing EA about getting my accounts linked but they say the email address that owns my gamertag is a hotmail one. I have never had a hotmail account. Also I'm logged into live.com with my normal email address (the same one I use on BSN) and there it is with all my games, avatar, and achievements yet EA says some unknown email I can't even view owns it O_o I'm so frustrated and I've been bouncing all over the internet trying to come up with a solution. (and in doing so my laptop contracted a virus that wont let me go online and is resistant to my antivirus' attempts to remove it. I'm using my mom's computer to write this) Please help me T_T

Here are some screenshots to prove I'm not lying/crazy:

I am having exactly the same issue. I downloaded the demo of Madden 12 on my xbox and when it runs it tries to log into the EA servers and it will then tell you to update your details. This will show the hotmail address that is linked to your gamertag.

Knowing this still hasn't helped me because EA are refusing to do anything as I can't prove that PigStix is my gamertag to their satisfaction. I have offered DNA, bloodtests, by credit history, my passport and to even get in a car and drive to their offices with all this and my xbox but without the date of birth on this random hotmail account which I don't know because it isn't my account they won't do anything. It's driving me insane!

I've been contacting them day and night using customer support and they have now escalated my grievence to a senior member of staff, it's only taken a month so far.

Yeah, I finally found out that my cousin actually did use his own email address when signing up my gamertag for xbox live. I called EA twice and got the runaround for a long time before one guy told me he could split our accounts but it would most likely break both his and mine. It would take away all the DLC I've bought (and his as well) for every game and I'd have to buy everything again apparently. He said that if that happened there was nothing they could do. I wonder can a mod manually give us permission to access the rest of the forums because of our situation?
