he already paid as did all of you I imagine. You got what you got. crying about what you were given is stupid. Do you cry when life isn't fair as well? only the strong survive.. apparently the lot of you are making threads how you can't sleep, eat, work, study for homework and quiting gaming all together lol

I just echo the opinions of others. I've had no trouble sleeping, eating, working, studying or gaming. :D

I'd pay for it because I know that's the only feasible resolution.

If we get a new ending, I would be willing to pay for it, but there is no way they would charge for it; reason?: simple, any new purchases of ME3 after that will need to get the ending DLC for free too. Otherwise they are charging for an incomplete game which is considered fraud.

Ummm, yes I do.

I paid $70 for ME3 including day 1 DLC that I didn't gripe about. I expect it to have an understandable ending like the previous 2 installments.

I didn't like Call Of Duty. I thought it was arcadey and adolescent. Did I want the game remade? No. I went back to Battlefield instead. BioWare doesn't have to remake the ending, they don't have to put man hours into making alternate ending DLC. But they probably will, and people will still cry like some overgrown man child because yet another thing didn't go their way.

Addendum: Bioware doesn't DESERVE our money anymore either. So, if they want to charge me for something I should have had in the first place, and tell me that I'm being "entitled", they can politely go and self-copulate.

"our" who are you exactly to speak for everyone else? You don't speak for me that's for sure and I doubt anyone else elected you to speak for them lol. Trying to add power to your poor statement funny. I'm pretty sure Microsoft doesn't deserve this, Kim Kardashin doesn't deserve that.. but we should care why? Do whatever you want.. your rally cries are silly

Also to all the people on here who say the players dont have the right to demand anything from Bioware......

Folks, this is how capitalism works, and the market. You have the right to demand better from a company. If someone delivers a subpar service, you go to the competition. Competition breeds innovation, competition breeds excellence. If a company does something wrong, you call them out on it and demand better. You have a duty as responsible consumers to do so, or else you're contributing to breaking the system and enabling bioware to continue their behavior. STOP IT!

I do agree with some of your points. Crappy games get released all the time. We don't deserve a new ending.

HOWEVER, most people bought this game based on how good the first two were. I bought it without reading a single review because I knew what I was in for. The game was great until the end, where Bioware failed to deliver the quality that has been consistent with the rest of the franchise.

At this point I can say that I wouldn't pay for any ending, just because I already spent 60 dollars on the game. I believe Bioware has shaken the faith of many fans with this mess. I believe that it would be in their best interest to show some sort of good will towards their fans and acknowledge that the ending could have been better. They could donate something to Childs Play or release a free weapon or something. Nothing huge, but in my opinion, seeing some good will from them would change my view of them somewhat.

No one DESERVES anything.

We don't deserve a complete ending, they don't deserve praise.

If the ending is infact the indoctrination theory, then we were lied to about the product we bought, we were told it would end the Reaper, Shepard story arch... The indoctrination theory leaves Shepard not dead, and the Reapers not defeated, that means the story arch has not finished. So if the DLC is not free then they would be expecting us to pay EXTRA for something we were promised in the original game.
I would be willing to pay for it, but I wouldn't be willing to buy any more of their products, because I can't be sure that the product I'm promised is infact what I would get.  But if it's free, then I would be more inclined to think it was their intention all along and my trust would be restored.

Emphasis on subpar ENDING. There are games that are subpar in every regard and nobody tells them to remake it FOR FREE. Mass Effect 3, on the other hand, excelled in almost every regard and dropped the ball a bit on the ending. I recognize that the parts of Mass Effect 3 that are good are better than most $60 games on their own.

The reason this is such a big deal is because the rest of the game was great and it was in such stark division to the rest. Unless you feel the entire game was terrible (you'd be a minority) you've gotten your money's worth and then some.

So basically, you're demanding they complete redo the ending of the game, just as glamorous as a normal ending for no charge. Great. Good to know. (Insult cheap insult here)

Eh. Considering this ending was five years in the making, and we were promised a whole buncha varied endings based on our choices...and got, well, what we got?

Yeah, I'd say we should get a different ending. It doesn't matter whether you use the word "want" or "deserve." Bioware certainly doesn't care.

I don't think anyone is asking for the ending for FREE? We ALREADY paid for the game so why should we have to pay AGAIN just to see the ending to a game we already paid for?

Er if bioware wants to restore fan faith they should make the DLC free as a peace offering imo.

OP I respectfully disagree with you. Put aside that this is a game / art / whatever as that is totally irrelevant.

Bioware promised a set of endings that they chose not to deliver. Traditionally when a producer of a product sells a bad product the customer just returns it to get their money back. However we consumers do not have that option with games. Therefore it is up to us to coerce the producer to live up to the promises that they made.

To do anything else is to invite more wide-spread behavior similar to this.

The concept is very simple and straightforward.

Partially agreed with you OP, to the extent that I'm willing to pay for a better ending.

The game, however, does deserve a better ending. And from a business perspective, it may well be that EA/Bioware would be better off with giving away a free ending DLC in terms of the ratio between immediate loss of cash vs. potential future earnings.

There's also the loss of credibility they've already suffered from the pre-release "we can make the endings wildly different, your choices will really matter" statements that turned out to be, shall we say... Factually challenged.

i'd be happy to pay for it, i see no problem in that however if they leave the issue at i will say i am no longer a paying customer for bioware products, which is sad since i have been with the company since they did kotor when i was about 11, and i have played every title they have released(payed for some of them multiple times mind you)

We don't deserve a new ending, MASS EFFECT 3 deserves a better ending.

I am happy to leave the original endings in and not totally dismiss them, but I am willing to pay for alternative endings that do the series justice.

The mindset I see is more of "If there's not a DLC, Bioware is going to lose a lot of current and future sales."

Yeah i'm of the same mind. It would be nice to see them give the possible DLC for Free, but having been a retail manager I don't see that happeneing. Now if they donated the proceeds I could see that more easily.

Bottom line, I'd shell out of it, but as an ending to a chatacter I've played over 200+ hours the ending was a bit too esoteric.

I don't pay for things I don't like, and neither do many people.  And we're not talking about random celebrites or companys.  We're talking about one company that's alreay losing money on this.

But hey, I'm not going to hold you back if you want to buy crap.  Hell, Roger Corman made money on every movie.

Doesn't mean I have to buy it or support it.

And if George Lucas starts putting out Roger Corman crap I have the right not to buy it... oh wait.  he did, and lost a hard core fan.  Funny how that works, eh?

We don't deserve anything for free. We deserve what was promised when we paid for it.
