I paid for a complete game.
I was not given a reasonably complete game.
Therefore, I'd like to get my money back, but because of stupid online pass codes, that's not possible as a PC player, or get a reasonable ending- the ending I ALREADY paid for.
If BioWare didn't include the "true" ending, then they're in for a sh*tstorm like never before. Especially if they charge for it. It'd be a PR nightmare, and I'd never buy anything from BioWare again.
You got the ending you paid for.
I paid for a package of socks, but they got wet when I wore them in the rain. I want a refund. I paid for dry socks.
Yeah, that's what you sound like. Please, continue.
Actually based on all information leading up to the release of the game, the ending we got was a complete 180 of how they said the end was going to be.
It's more akin to paying for a package of socks based on the packaging implying its going to be socks, and getting poorly sewn underpants instead.
While I do agree to an extent about some of the hate for the ending. I am at peace with the ending.
My Shepard died a hero, he gave his life to bring peace to Synthetics and Organics. He stopped the war. He saved EDI, he saved the Geth. He brought the Quarians and Geth together, he brought the Krogan, Turians and the Salarian together. I even brought together the three merc groups.
He brought peace. Sure, the Mass Relays and the Citadel were destroyed along with Shepard, but I still went down like a champ and saved the galaxy. Garrus may never share that drink with me but at least he'll live to have a drink in my honor, maybe with Liara. Because dammit, that Turian has been through hell with me in all 3 games, I'll gladly let him have my Boo.

We are entitled to what we bought, and unfortunately, we were subjected to a campaign of false advertising. Ultimately, the many diverse endings we were, and I cannot stress this enough, promised, are simply not there. We did not get what was advertised, and as such, we are entitled to the product that we thought we were buying.
Semantics. We are not entitled to a NEW ending for free. We are entitled to THE ending for free.

I find it funny he said he was not given a reasonably complete game.
It's like saying :"You see, although 99.5% of this game was flawless the .5% that sucked is completely unreasonable and I deserve compensation from you for it, it was just that bad."
Product baaaad. Salesman baaaad. Fix goooood.
On a more serious note, did you beat the game yet?
Yeah, thought the endings were crap and I REALLY HOPE THEY MAKE ALT ENDING DLC. But the remaining ~30 hours well made up for the endings in my opinion so I think asking for it to be free is pretty BS. Ever heard of the Prince of Persia epilogue?
Can't believe people are saying they got a faulty product. If the game was a freaking Guitar Hero spinoff, then I'd say you'd been lied to. This, not so much. Still, it's their opinion.

People really spend their time defending corporations on the internet. This baffles me (unless they're getting paid, of course).
Would you prefer us to find the BioWare headquarters and camp out in front of their gates and 'demand' a new ending? We could even wear N7 Themed Clothing and claim how we're no longer supporting BioWare. While talking about the greatness off the games and even bring our PCs and play Mass Effect together.
Oops, hipsters already beat us to that on Wallstreet.

I bought a steak dinner, but it came without the potatoes.
The potatoes will be $20.
What about the customer is always right?
You're not a customer until you buy the potatoes.

I don't know about everyone else but im willing to pay for new endings.
I'm willing to just pay for any form of DLC. The last 5 minutes of Mass Effect 3 should not reflect on the game as a whole.
I'm sure everyone supporting the "Take Back ME3" were all balls deep for the game, having joygasms throughout their playthrough. Saying how amazing the game is and how much they love it and how it was 2012's GOTY.
Then the ending hit and suddenly the game was utter crap, BioWare is a terrible developer etc etc etc.

I would like ending to be fixed. I would be willing to pay for it in proportion to the effort put into making it, but I'd like it to be free.
Releasing an extended/alternate ending would be a smart move by Bioware at this point. Whether it is free or should depend on how much it cost to make and whether EA is concerned with making money now, or solidifying the consumer base for later.
Free alt ending = sound investment strategy (will increase ME3 sales and encourage more later)
Paid alt ending = quick and easy buck, but might shrink consumer pool again (angry fans)
Do nothing = GG, Bioware. It was fun while it lasted.
Pretty much this.

There is no problem with exercising your consumer role. The only problem we're running into here is fans who like the game as-is and don't want to hear anything negative about it, so they get angry and try to shut us up.

You're not a customer until you buy the potatoes.
If it was listed as coming with potatoes, then you would have a legitimate issue. However, if it was listed as coming with potatoes but you didn't like them, it is up to the company to decide to appease you or not; then to decide to do it for free or not.

Agreed, there is none. It generates competition and helps the industry grow as a whole.

The customer is always king, and telling companies it's okay to mislead you and sell you incomplete products sets an incredibly bad precedent. A precedent, which, works against you and the rest of us in the long run.
Free ending DLC. Hold the line.
I've used this analogy before, I'll use it again. (But of a hyperbole but still...)
Actual fraud would be them using the Ad campaigns they used and the game ended up being a Guitar Hero spin-off.
They gave us a complete game with a bad ending.
If Bioware intentionally withheld content from us, then shame on them.
As is, they made an honest mistake for 5 minutes of the game and are being vilified for it while the rest of the game was still great. Not saying I'm proud of all of Bioware's business practices but in this situation I don't mind paying for a continuation. Ever hear of Prince of Persia Epilogue?
