I see, that You can't really get why players are upset about ending. It have a little with Shepard death. Most important is the fact, that at the end his/hers death is usseless, becouse all universe is ruined, no matter what.VirtualAlex wrote...
This whole thread is making me laugh. Did you guys honestly not fully expect Shepard to die at the end of ME3? Because I saw it coming from from miles away and it isn't because I am overly perceptive. Bioware stated many times on the record that this is the end of Shepard's story. There will not be a mass effect 4. They didn't outright say he is dead but that is the only way his story could be over for good.
Or did you know it and just wish it wasn't true? You just hoped Shepard would never die and always win like a cheesy action cartoon like the power rangers?
Grow up. The game is still very playable even if the protagonist dies at the end. The ending has nothing to do with the gameplay and the journey of the entire game.

I would, so long as I thought it was worth the money. While I wasn't 100% satisfied with the endings either, I personally don't feel like they are bad enough to ruin the game for me. Also, my personal logic is that the DLC doesn't have to effect the end to be good. I know some people may jump on me for not understanding or something, but in ME2 the Shadow Broker DLC has absolutely no impact on the primary story of the game, nor its ending, but it was fantastic. Ever since I downloaded it, I can't imagine playing the game without it.
Same with the From Ashes DLC, now that I have it, I can't imagine not having Javik being an ass to Liara, even though his recruitment has no real impact on the story.
I will not jump on you.. the truth - I envy you... I want to feel that endings do not ruin the game for me. But they did.

Not a chance. And not out of anger, or protest. I don't want to play any game that ends that way.
This. So much.

I have problem to play my other ME3 playthroughs I planned, I even postponed my planned Let's Play.
And I also have problem to play ME1 and ME2 ever again.
Everything I would do with Mass Effect is pointless since everything will just go nowhere unless Bioware overhauls endings so that my choices matter and universe can live if I played good enough in my playthrough.

It doesnt have to be as uplifting as ME1 but I would like to know for sure what happened after the Indoc attempt. Sure not all my Sheps will be alive but the other games gave us the option to come in prepared enough to offset our losses abit esp with ME2's suicide mission. That was more concrete ending then 3s. At least in the closing moments we saw who lived and died ect.

I see no reason to spend money on the same game any further, if it's not an already satisfying game. And while ME3 was damn good until the end, that end was sufficiently terrible enough to ruin satisfaction; certainly enough that I'll be saving my money to buy something else instead.

No, The ending has ruined the
series for me. I would only continue to buy DLC if they fix the ending.
If they do that, id do what I did for both previous games and buy all
the DLC they make. Incidently, I'm also cancelling my TOR account until
they sort this out.
Agreed completely.

If I could buy the same DLC two or three times for my 360, I would. If I can buy DLC for systems I don't have, I will. I will buy every small scrap of DLC I can. If they offer $10 racing stripes in pink and purple for the Normandy, I'll buy them.
I would like to donate $1000 to BioWare for just being BioWare.
I can vote with my wallet, as well.
And, with this post, my 12 year history of lurking, and occasionally posting, on the various BioWare board incarnations has come to an end.
Death threats on Twitter, menacing phone calls to the dev's private homes, insults, boycotts, and metacritic "bombings." You people have just gone off the deep end. I'm embarassed to call myself a gamer.
BioWare, I will always buy your stuff. Stay strong, and stay true to your vision.

Seriously, let people spend money however they want. ME3 is an excellent game (ok, despite the ending, but whatever). Yeah, the ending was depressing as hell, but it doesn't warrant all of the melodramatic bs flooding the forums.
