taken a blow since final hours but as they wanted us to speculate...
I don’t know if this has
been discussed before and lets face it the threads are huge so it’s hard to
completely check them all so sorry if this has already been discussed.
If Shepard has been
indoctrinated then I say that the games endings are all downer endings where no
matter what you chose the Reapers win as Shepard is already under their control
and no matter what he chooses they are tricking him. They continue the cycle
destroying all advanced organics and retreat to dark space for another 50
thousand years.
The Stargazer scene can then
be explained as advancing life-forms from the next cycle. How do they know
about Shepard? They have Liara’s time capsule, and so for their future there is
hope to stop the Reapers.
This could also explain
Jokers seeming betrayal. The glance Joker gives to the back of the Normandy, that’s
because he just made a daring rescue to pick up the surviving squad and Shepards
body and he’es glacing back at someone informing him they are safely on board
and to get the hell out of there.. As Shepard did not make it to the Citadel, perhaps
a retreat was called to get everyone away from Earth as it is obviously lost by
this point and so why lose more of the united fleet. Run and live to fight
another day. That beem that was mean’t to destroy the Relays? That’s just what
the Reapers want Shepard to think, in reality it is Harbinger chasing down
Normandy which crashes on to that planet and explains why the time capsule can
be found there.
Still leaves a lot of
questions, but just another theory to add to the collection.
