I created an outdoor area and placed a Static baked ambient light. Then render the lightmaps. I can see the environment but no the characters. How do I make an ambient light that affects characters?
Under the Exportable Area Properties, there is a way to set the sunlight properties. I set the direction and color. Rebuild the lightmaps and my sunlight does not seem to affect the terrain. When I run the game, my characters get the dynamic sunlight but no the terrain. How do you apply the sunlight in the exportable area properties to the lightmaps (besides making a really big baked point light) ?
I also can't change my sunlight direction. I set it once and now it doesn't seem to want to change no matter what I do. I can enter the direction coordinates manually but that's it.
Are there any other buffer effects we can use besides "da_bloom"?
And a non-light related question. Is there a quicker way to load up and view your level without running the game, selecting New Campaign, etc.?

How do I make an ambient light that affects characters? ambient light does not affect characters, only static light (and dynamic). Basically, try sticking a static light in your level and jacking up its radius.
How do you apply the sunlight in the exportable area properties to the lightmaps (besides making a really big baked point light) ? I think you have to post locals under single player mod to get sunlight and water working properly.
I also can't change my sunlight direction. Once you click the sunlight button, a little icon that looks like a startpoint circle will appear. you can move that around and it will show you how it affects the terrain in real time.
Are there any other buffer effects we can use besides "da_bloom"? not that i know of.
And a non-light related question. Is there a quicker way to load up and view your level without running the game, selecting New Campaign, etc.? not that i know of, i wish there was!
