I never said that they were not all Paragon, except Refuse maybe.
So Synthesis, destroy and control, what is the best ending

The galaxy would celebrate the death of the reapers. Whether its paragon or otherwise is irrelevant.

The one where you turn off your game after the TIM encounter. That's the best ending, easily.

Shepard committing suicide was a Paragon like action. That doesn't make them Paragon.

There is no best ending. It is just opinion.

The one with dead Reapers and a dead Catalyst.

I liked the ending where the illusive man turns into a husk and eats shepards brains.

this seems the right place to say this and quoting someone familiar
[Sovereign] : "you exisist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it"
talk about shoe-horning / a warning to one's inevitable end

Finished the game this morning and chose destroy ending here are my reasons.
Firstly although my sheperd was about 80% paragon I didn't play in a way that I thought she is paragon and wouldn't do/say the renegade options I just went for what felt right at the time depending on situations that effected her mental state at that time, therefore I didn't worry at the final descision what was paragon or renegade. So my thoughts on each choice were:
Control option sees sheperd turned into what? a program? That can control the reapers for how long? Programs can be rewritten, overwritten or deleted and I don't believe that the starchild or the reapers wouldn't try this at some point to finish their work.
Synthesise was a hard one. The thought of all life evolving together was a nice idea and I personally loved seeing EDI and joker together at the end. But I did not like that the reapers would be allowed to survive and one day start their cycle again, which they would because organic life would begin again. Life will always find a way, so for that reason synthesise was not an option to me at all.
For the above reasons destroy was the only option left to my sheperd, it was the only way to truly stop the reapers from ever completing another cycle. Although it upset me to wipe out the geth and EDI as well everyone was aware that the reapers were to be "stopped whatever the cost" and they weren't the only ones to get ****ed there were heavy losses to all races in the war and even more with the destruction of the relays.
Also it was my shepherds destiny to stop the reapers and although in every other situation she managed to save as many people as possible this was a full scale galactic war it was impossible not to sustain heavy losses and make tough sacrafices.

Synth and control are the bottom of the barrel, unsurprisingly.

Well, maybe Tali can, but Shepard can't build anything. Gotta have arms and legs to do that.
Why would Shepard cut off his own arms and legs?

I'd rate the endings like this:
1) Synthesis
2) Renegade-Control
3) Refuse
4) Destroy
5) Paragon-Control

They're all good endings in their own ways. It all depends on the Shepard in question.

Paragon control is my favorite.
Destroy is probably the best, even with the sacrifice of EDI and the Geth (assuming the Geth were alive after Rannoch), however.
Either way, I rank them:
1. Paragon Control
2. high EMS Destroy
3. synthesis
4. low EMS endings
5. Refuse
