Hi,
I just recently bought Mass Effect 1 from the local game store down in the center of town and I have install both Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. I have Patched Mass Effect 1 up to V1.02 and I have installed the Bring Down the Sky Dowloadable content. I have tried changing the configuration settings. I am running Windowns XP at the moment but will soon be upgrading to Windows 7 (As in the next couple of days.) More or less what i am asking is, will the problem fix itself when i change operating systems or will I have to spend another week trolling the forums for a fix to a problem that should have been bugged out when it first appeared?

The question i have asked doesn't require me to report any of my system. You have a bajillion other posts saying the same thing that i have said and none of them have worked for me currently. All i am asking is whether a simple Operating System upgrade will fix the problem. In otherwords, going from Windows XP to Windows 7. My game keeps crashing when it gets to the part after the splash screen.
