Apparently, we're supposed to have super-hearing to find out that Joker was ordered to pull out as we were approaching the beam, and that's why he was leaving the battle. That totally explains how our squad teleported back to the Normandy...

Wait... WHAT?

Good lord.... my patience is being put the the ultimate test right now.

Huh? For real? So while running for my life and the sake of the galaxy torards a glowing white portal to the stars type thing whilst a 2 kilometer long ship shoots a massive particle beam at me I'm supposed to hear something of critical importance? Lol!

Priestly posted on there last night something about his soul being crushed. I think we might have worn him out.

Ok.  Now we need someone to disect the audio so we can see if this is true or not.

I'm pretty sure someone would have already discovered that and said something, if it were true.

Obviously. That's the only reasonable thing to do. Pay no mind to Maurauder Sheilds. He'll wait while you listen.

She's trolling pretty hard basically any theory is apparently "valid" right now. She even stated that she "Wonders why more people aren't speculating it's another part of Earth?" (referring to the Normandy planet).

Um because Earth doesnt have two moons? She also states that Joker never went through the relay and got to the planet with conventional FTL. So yeah I'm going to wait for some official sources.

@JessicaMerizan @Latent_Grandeur How can it be another part of earth. That planet has two moons? I guess the dream idea works. maybe.

@Zodi_Emish @Latent_Grandeur you're right - I knew there was a reason I hadn't heard that idea being tossed around much

Yeah all she is saying is....pick one of the magic colors and imagine away!
If I wanted to imagine stuff, I wouldn't pay $60 to do it, thanks.

As much as I respect Jessica and the work she's doing to communicate with the community, the "use your imagination" schtick is getting old. I didn't throw down $90 to imagine the ending.

If Bioware seriously thought that's what the fans wanted, then I don't know where their minds were at the time.

OMG! Alright the lets go with that logic. If Hacket orders all the fleets out while you're walking at the beam (teloportation to the citadel) all fleets would have abandoned the crucible, so when Shepard opens it up no one would be there to guide it then.

If she is talking about the synthesis beam the time lapse is not big enough to effectivly out run it.

End of the world battle, "win this or we all lose". "Pull back" isn't an option.

In your imagination, obviously! Man, you Mass Effect fans are so dense sometimes. :P

That's why we all paid $80 for this game. So we could use our imaaaagiiinaaations!!!!!!

My imagined ending was way better than this crap.

Like I actually imagined something like Shepard and company boarding Harbinger and fighting through hords of husks/collectors/heretic Geth to get to some main logic processor where the majority of Harbinger's consciousness was based to upload a virus/worm/trojan/other that killed reaper thought processes/initiated a self distruct sequence/other or planted a bomb that triggered a feedback loop in a Reapers which made them vunerable. This would, of course, involve piggbacking the signal through the mass relay network or some such that wouldn't result in its destruction because that's just silly...

Or altering the mass relays so that any reapers using them (remember they have special IFFs) would be fired out at near c resulting in their destruction and the a massive fleet could go around isolating and killing them system by system. I mean, imagine a dreadnought retrofitted with capital class Thanix cannons. Or particle beams. Or some sort of missile with an antimatter warhead. Or perhaps a new kind of FTL they could fit to massive self guiding bombs that they could use by having them come out of FTL right on top of a Reaper and detonating.

Oh, and there would be 60 seconds of cutscene where everyone thinks Shepard is dead before the sad music changes to heroic victory music as he/she stumbles/limps into view looking a little battered but not broken then there'd be a big victory party and Shepard would get made Chief Spectre/Council Representative/something else suitably awesome. Probably get a promotion in the Alliance as well. Then roll the credits.

Hmm, I could go on, I do have an over-active imagination and trouble sleeping so I tend to daydream about stuff while I'm trying to get some kip.

You, sir, should be the lead writer at Bioware. :crying: 'Tis such a pity you're not....the virus thing. BRILLIANCE!

I'd really like to know when "pull back" became an option. Are the Reapers going to wait while we get ourselves prepared? Maybe the Reapers decided to be nice, and they're the ones who brought Garrus and Liara back to the Normandy as a favor to Shepard.

Over the course of the last week, I've realized that I care way too much about a video game.

I admire your optimism... I really do but please don't give them encouragement to make a ''canon'' when they avoided it for 3 games now. Besides , they wouldn't go with a confirmed gender for a protagonist....And they probably won't use ''4'' if they want to expand Mass Effect universe since these 3 games were meant to be a trilogy....unless they changed their minds in the last 10 minutes before the release of the game.....you know like the ending.

Meh, at this point I'd be more than happy with a DLC that has Shep waking up with Anderson and his squad at the base of the lift beam to the Citadel and have it revealed as all being a vaguely prescient dream influenced by a mild case of indoctrination.

Also I still don't understand how Destroy is interpreted as the Renegade option since you don't immediately see Shep order all Reapers to fly into the nearest star if he chooses Control and given the Synthesis option there's no reason why the Reapers shouldn't just keep killing people for fun, or because they can or something, I mean with the green light they have no purpose which means they need a reason to exist so why not just continue as before...

I said this in the other tread and I'll say it here. Jessica Merizan is a well meaning person who knows as much about the story as us. She suggests that the crew crash landed on Earth after the whole explosion because they couldn't get to the mass relay in time. If this is true then Earth managed to also pick up two VERY close moons (or something else) in it's atmosphere.

I think Jessica's actually Willy Wonka. And Buzz Aldrin brought another moon home with him when got back from space.
