I'd have to say Mordin's death, renegade option, closely with Wrex discovering your betrayal...damn they hit me hard

I took Thane's death harder than Mordin's, personally. I played paragon, so I didn't get the same ending, but something about praying alongside Kolyat, and finding out that I was praying for myself?

Manly tears.

When I saw my hamster scurrying around on the floor.

Reunited and it felt so good.

Mordin's death for me. "Had to be me, someone else might get it wrong."

Yeah that was incredible too. Thane wasn't my favourite but crap...can't believe a video game can get you this depressed lol

The last talk with Garrus...

Sobbing like a child.

So far, Liaras project and the scene with Shepard and Anderson talking, especially if you listen to the cut dialogue.

The scene that never fails to make me sob -- with the choking gasps, whimpers and everything -- is during the final sequence, after Anderson dies and Hackett tells her the Crucible isn't firing. That crawl, coupled with her face, the music, and everything. It's so moving.

In a good way? Too many to chose just one.

Mordin's death

Thane's death

Legion's death

The entire scene from where the Illusive man dies to just before the platform takes you up to the Starchild.

The Thresher Maw fighting the Reaper.

Renegade interrupt with Kai-Leng.

Just in a "powerful" way?

The ending. Made me want to just exit the game without even picking an option. Powerful and compelling yes, it did cause a *very* strong emotional reaction, but disappointment and odium is not something you generally want associated with something like that.

Legion most likely.

Legion is almost just a child in the scheme of things and sacrificed himself.

Apparently renegade shep has to kill mordin to get the salarians on board. Haven't seen it myself but I imagine that would be pretty powerful. I really liked Liaras project, Liaras end talk and seeing Jack improved. Having the united fleet fly into the sol system was pretty good as well. And don't forget getting you arse kicked by Kai Leng on Thessia, that was way more depressing than a computer game ought to be. ME3 had a lot of really emotional moments for me, no other game has ever got close to pulling me in so much.

Both scenes just left me a crying mess, but for two different reasons.

Mordin's was the longer, drawn out death of a hero, but Thane's just blew me away in one line of dialogue "His last wish was for you." Didn't see that coming at all...just caught me off-guard.

Legion's actually confused me because I forgot what the question was :P Looking back, it was awesome.

It is the hardest thing to watch, especially because Mordin delivers the line "I made a mistake!" with such force that you can tell he wants to do this...and what happens next...is just evil.

The renegade interrupt where you stab Kai Leng and say, "That's for Thane, you son of a ****!"

I just about jumped up and cheered.

I also loved that slow, wounded stagger to the beam to enter the Citadel.

Most powerful?

There were many, but I'll never forget the first time I witnessed Mordin's death... :'( (I allowed him to distribute the cure.) Also, just SEEING the cure float everywhere was just epic and satisfying.

Another one that stays with me is the Kaidan romance arc, but that's because I'm biased.

The whole curing of the genophage was without a doubt the most powerful part of the game.

I had high hope for the Quarian/Geth war to surpass it, but it really didn't come close.

Also, if you romanced Liara, that scene where she gives you the "gift" right before you set out for no-mans-land was pretty incredible.

That was so damn satisfying. Even as Paragon Shep, I couldn't hit that Renegade interrupt any harder.

Legion and Tali at the conclusion of the Geth / Quarian conflict.

Eyes leaked a tad.

But also some of the small moving moments in the game itself - the Turian Guard and the Human Teenager. They had like four mini conversations - and by the end one I was choking...

Edit: And inside the Geth consensus....seeing the early stages of the Geth / Quarian war. The child like innocent Geth being destroyed and defended by Quarians....It was soooo well done.

I had the Ashley romance going, and I thought there were some poignant moments there. Liara's sharing of her memory was pretty intense. Breaking up with Miranda was difficult and it's clear that Liara and Tali still have crushes which makes interacting with them a little sad at times.

The hero's death of thane and mordin didn't bother me much. Bittersweet.

Mordin's death was powerfull indeed.

Legion's death with renegade option was a bit harder on me though.

Legion's death and the peace between the quarians and geth. I loved that scene. If only they showed Tali's face...

I would say the scene with Shepard, TIM, and Andersen in the Citadel, right before the game goes off the rails (or up the elevator?).

I thought that it was a tense and well written social boss fight, which nicely called back to ME1's final boss fight. And the final chat Shepard has with Andersen, assuming you save him, is extremely fulfilling.
