Yes, I support this idea.

I would also like to add support for Krogan Vanguards and Asari Sentinels. Small side note: the ability to have geth soldiers and infiltrators would also be fun times. Small side note the sequel: I am against being able to play Batarians. I feel Batarians best serve Mass Effect as bad guys to shoot at. We don't need to play them.

So the Resurgence Pack is to be released with no male Quarians. Le sigh.

If they do let us have them, there's gonna be a ton Kal'Reegar's running around.
Personally, I was hoping to adorn mine like and name him Qwib Qwib.

Freaking beat me to it.

It would be nice if there were female/male toggle for Quarians and Krogan. I actually think there should be a female/male toggle for Humans too, instead of separate characters. I don't think i remember seeing female Batarians or Salarians. I am pretty sure Asari only come out as female looking hermaphrodites and Geth are asexual.

I'm kinda getting the impression that the Geth characters are the male Quarians.

I was really disappointed that I saw no female turians... Batariens too. But who cares about them? They were pretty much extinct anyways by the end of the game.

Excep that there's no female Turian or Batarian models created in the game's engine. But there ARE male Quarian models already working and all, so I don't get at all why can't they allow to use one?

Only because of the classes. The powers will be different. Male Quarians would have the same power-set as Female Quarians (just like male & female humans have the same powers)

Can Quarians be biotics? Maybe they could pull Male Quarian Soldier and Male Quarian Sentinel instead of just making them male version of already existing female Quarians with the same power sets

I do wish at some point they would design character models for female Turians, Batarians, and Drell; on top of that I've only seen one female Krogan (Eve) and one female Salarian (the Delatress) and it appears the designers decided not to give us much insight into the anatomical differences. The Delatress appears to use a standard male Salarian model, just with a hood and a female voice actress.

In general the ME universe is pretty much a sausage fest, with the Asari to compensate.
Quarians were the first alien species to display models of both sexes in ME2.

ME3 SP took a step in the right direction, but as long as they're designing new maps and other DLC it would be nice to see sex dimorphism in all aliens to which it is applicable.
Multiplayer seems like a good place to start.

My guess is no. I don't think they've shown us any quarians, salarians or turians with biotics throughout the entire trilogy. With the quarians, at least, there's some clear basis for this in lore: environmental suits prevent the possibility of eezo exposure. Theoretically a similar argument could be made for turians' skin.

Yeah but at the same time, anatomy-wise Quarians are very similar to humans compared to Krogans, Turians and Salarians who all have very different bodies. So it wasn't really a big challenge to have a male Quarian.

Yeah but we have Sentinel Turian with Warp in MP, so they can be biotics

Now the options for future characters are Turian females, male Quarians and female Salarians. So obviously the next character pack will be Hanar and vorcha adepts lol.

Well ultimately ME isn't the hardest of sci-fi, so overthinking why a given species should have a certain ability is just begging to shatter willful suspension of disbelief.
That said, I forgot about turian biotics. Haven't read any of the books, and I don't remember where in ME1 you see any, but I could have missed it.
You do make a good point about the marginal effort in designing body types, Issac.

they can be biotics but those are extremely rare

and I'd want the same classes as the female quarians, but I'd defiantely pick the male quarians instead, I prefer their suits :D

I'd be happy with the male quarians and the vorcha...

Hanar tho eh? Can't really see them being anything but infiltrator... can they even do biotics?

Couldn't care less unless it comes with some kind of mechanical difference...
