Tried to buy a premium spectre pack and failed, and since I only really play on bronze, it takes a long time to accrue that many credits.

Vasant99
Lost 99000 credits.

Come on guys, figure out a way to fix this, or provide some sort of reimbursement service where people can somehow get back what they lost.

sad to say but it looks like we all lost our credits/bioware points and no packs either, i doubt we will get anything satisfying out of this, maybe a fix at some point but thats about it :(

Don't be surprised if we end up having to wait several months just for a few measly bug fixes because of the consoles asnine certification system. That's usually their excuse, anyway. Battlefield 3 PC users are going through a similar thing right now. Not to mention the ****** poor communication that they are exhibiting here too.

It's just business as usual at EA, i guess.

tbh i only occasionally had the failed purchase issue until origin updated earlier this week now i can rarely get a pack, even the recruit pack fails alot yet still takes my credits, i really hope this gets fixed soon, it was hard enough to get anything decent in packs, now i just cant even get a pack without this bug messing up my credits, im sure the devs will be trying to sort this issue, but i doubt they can give us all our lost credits back, maybe those that lost bioware points might get them back, even if we got a pack free for all the inconvience it would be better than nothing :(

And the failed purchases continue, even after rebooting and making it the first thing done after loading the game. =/

Lost a premium pack and 99000 credits. The online support does nothing but tell me to post here for some reason, it seems obvious that this problem is well known.

Hello all,

We are investigating this issue

Bryan,

Any update on this?  I'm thinking about halting my MP play (and I don't play SP anymore) because it is a toss-up on whether I'll be able to reward myself with new weapons, ammo, etc (which is the only point in playing, right).  The "Game Advisors" in the Origin program on PC said that their engineers (Salarian or Quarian?  It's a toss-up, but Salarians may be the best bet in this case to fix the issue) are working on it, but that was a few weeks ago.

Just looking for an update.  Thanks!

-BK

What's extremely lame about the issue, is that I was trying to purchase the 5,000 credit Recruit packs as a "test"...I'd much rather lose 5,000 credits than 60,000+.

If the Recruit pack purchase worked, I would buy more. This hasn't worked, however...as a Recruit pack can work, and a Vet/Spectre/Bonus pack can fail immediately after (and this is after rebooting and starting the game again). I keep running out of credits with nothing to show for it, I'm pissed, and I'm tired of it.

Not that posting that will do anything.

Nice!  When reporting to customer support they simply kicked me out of the conversation.  Not a very happy camper whatsover.

Just lost 60000 credits trying to buy a Specter Pack... kept saying that the transaction failed. exited the game, came back and the credits were gone.
Came here looking to see if there was some way to get those points back, but it looks like I'm S.O.L.

Super lame. Looks like a common enough problem too...

I am going to post this in the main forum somewhere, but it definitely fits in this thread too. I contacted EA about this issue, and this transcript is the unbelievable response I got, which took over an hour!

Definitely recommended reading!

That's not a solution. That's an aggravating "workaround".

Yes but it's the best there is at the moment and probably for a while to come...

Lost 60k beforehand and now 99k for a premium spectre pack.
This is so damn frustrating. Takes so long to build up the credits and get nothing in return. Victory and Commendation pack also not received properly.

I've had similar mind numbing experiences with their support. They're damn useless. Some of them ask for your personal info, while another told me it's not necessary because he could see it. No consistency whatsoever and in the end they don't even have any solution for you after running around in circles.

I've had this issue multiple times. I would like to note the last time this had happened to me I did actually receive the items even though it told me it couldn't process. I closed my game and re-opened and saw that I lost the credits.

Obviously I was pissed about it as anyone has been but when I went to change my characters for my next game I noticed I suddenly had a character I didn't prior to the purchase and 1 of my weapons ranked up 1.

May be worth noting what characters you don't have unlocked, what everything's current xp is sitting at, how many customization options you have for them, what the item lvl is for every weapon you have before purchasing anything. We may actually be receiving stuff but we just don't see what it is hence why the credits are taken.

I'm not promising it is working this way for everyone but it would be worth a test at least. Better to receive the items blindly then just get screwed entirely.
