I noticed all my "failed" purchases actually got through, if not right away, then by restarting the game entirely and going back to the store where it will check for outstanding purchases again (and say it failed).

However, another thing I noticed and have been reproducing at a 100% succesrate is that whenever I have a purchase fail and the credits are -apparently- given back (but they really aren't, just restart the game and see) and I then go into a MP game, I will always disconnect as soon as the first wave is finished. My guess is credits are awarded then and it finds conflicting values and decides to toss you off the server for being a bad bad person! But that's just a wild guess. Perhaps worth looking into though.

Something needs to be done. This is ridiculous and unacceptable, I've never had to face such an issue before!

Sorry to hear. Somehow, the problem went away on its own on my end. Best of luck to you guys still facing this predicament, may this issue be solved for all the players of this otherwise completely excellent multiplayer component.

For folks who paid money for BW points.

If you used your credit or debit card you have 60 days to contact your bank about contesting the charge. If you've made reasonable effort to resolve the issue with the vendor with no results and you have not received a refund or the the product was not as advertised or did not work and was not replaced then Mastercard/Visa/Whatever will look into it and attempt to recover your money.

And if you do that, it's possible EA may lock your Origin account, meaning you lose access to all your games. You know how some of us got our accounts reset and lost all our weapons/characters/items, right? There's a 52-page sticky thread on that, in the multiplayer section. In that thread, a number of players have reported that they got their credit card companies to contest the charges. This worked, and they got their money back...

...but then, in response, their Origin accounts got suspended. At least that's what they said happened to them. They could be lying, but do you want to take the chance?

I have no intentions of supporting EA games if this is how they treat us anyways, so no loss to me personally. I only contested the points which I had every right and reason to do so since after 3 customer service 1 on 1 chats, one personal post, and one here all failed to see results. If they block the functionality of several other games you rightfully paid for and the ability to go online they are punishing you for doing what is legal and just. That is only further proof of how they operate, it's not right to punish people for not wanting to pay for defective product or no product at all. Lastly, it's a stupid idea to go banning accounts for that seeing as they will just go pirate the games if they really, really, want the game and are blocked from online by EA anyways, but they sure won't be paying more hard earned cash for this level of product/service. I know it's an overplayed gamer threat, and it would be more expensive for a lawyer than a new EA account and purchasing all the games over again, but it seems pretty unlawful to block online access on other games that aren't even related for contesting something you have every right to.
Sorry but the principle is more important on this one than online access on a few games, at least to me.
As a final thought, I have never in my entire life been so disregarded or been sold a defective product and been refused replacement, compensation, or explanation to the point where I felt justified contesting a charge; I've never even thought about contesting something before. I even explained the full scope of the situation to my banks rep to see if they thought it was frivolous and they assured me that it sounded like I was justified 100%

My thing is I was ok if one or 2 of my purchases didn't make it since I got them from the multiplayer but I don't want to really play multiplayer if whenever the store feels like it to give me the packs. I can't even get the total points i lost just over 60k worth of points and 240 in Bioware points. Finally found a thread where I feel like im not the only one going through it.

People who uses bioware points is losing real money.

I'm adding my post here, too, and will keep updating until we get some attention to this issue. I only lost 99,000 points... "Only" is subjective, as some of you have lost many more, but that's a lot for me, as my gameplay time is limited!

I had a chat with the EA/Origin support last night and they said "give it some time" for the database to update. So I gave it "some time" and came back online today, over 12 hours from the lost purchase. The credits are still gone, but my characters, weapons, and equipment remain unchanged.

I chatted with EA/Origin support again and managed to get the support guy to check my account. He confirmed that there was no purchase recorded in my account for that item in the timeframe specified. In other words, the transaction did not go through. However, my 99,000 credits are still gone. I was instructed again to wait "some time" which I managed to nail down to a concrete response of 24-hours.

I'll keep you posted if I get anywhere with this, but from reading some of the posts on here, it seems this is a lost cause. Thanks to the OP for keeping the thread somewhat updated.

(And I'm not even going to get into the hoops I had to jump through, the number of boxes I had to check, and the number of separate times I had to confirm my registration of ME3 just to have the right to post on these forums. If something as simple as registering to post on forums is indicitive of the code structure of Bioware games, then it should come as no surprise that this bug exists!)

After reading all the problems people are having with dlc and points ect---no way I am even going to try to purchase anything from EA/Origin.
Hopefully everyone else will boycott them and no one will even think about buying from them.
I hope you all gets your points back or your purchases, but for the rest don't even consider spending anything until it is confirmed it has been fixed.
To anyone that attempts to purchase and it fails, you only have yourself to blame from this point foward.

Just lost 99k Credits on a Premium Spectre Pack and at least 6 instances of 240 Bioware points over the weekend trying to get a M-99 Saber.II.
Worst part is that it seems to be 50/50 on whether I can even join a match afterwards. Sometimes I need to reboot my pc in order to regain access to the multiplayer servers.

So far I personally have never lost anything to this bug. I've gotten the 'purchase cannot be processed' and had my credits drop, but I always find a new mod unlocked, or weapon, or character xp and equipment that I didn't have beforehand, upon relogging.
All the same, assuming I actually cared enough to spend real money for in game conveniences, this would have made me know better. It is telling that EA/Bioware can't even get the money train working properly in the game.
