I've had this problem 3 times now on premium spectre packs, lost 99k each time.

the first time I ignored it.

the second time I reported it. (probably a month ago at this point)

I was told:

 I understand how disappointing it is. Some of the customers have reported this issue. Our developers are aware of it and are working for a resolution. We appreciate your patience while the issue is being looked into.

two days ago it happened AGAIN.

I was told to "contact support if the problem continued to happen", which I did. TWICE.

this last time the rep suggested that I post on the forums.. I tried to take the "customer satisfaction survey", but it actually gave me an error while trying to submit it.. you can't make this kind of thing up.

here is what my comments at the bottom said, since the survey probably wasn't submitted:

It is obvious that the customer service reps are using canned responses to reply to "known issues", which is actually more frustrating than the problems with the game. When the Mass Effect Multiplayer store eats credits and doesn't actually provide the premium spectre packs the credits were deducted for, it tells you to CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE. When you do, they tell you the same thing every time. The reps aren't at fault, they aren't being given any information about the problem other than "it's a known problem, and they're working on a fix".. this is the third time this has happened (99k credits per occurrence), and the second time I've reported it, as the error message told me to. The users are playing a game to earn credits, the credits are spent to improve the gameplay through better items/consumables. When the credits are taken and no reward is given, its more than "a disappointment", its a waste of everyone's time. During this most recent chat session, I was told to go post on the forums so the developers can see it. I'm sure they already know about the issue, but I'm doubting those credits (or the packs they were being used to pay for) will ever be reimbursed.



in closing:

EA/Bioware.. I love the games you make, and I understand that bugs can happen. Aside from the credit loss, I had the "online pass" bug that wouldn't allow me to play the game (either one player OR multiplayer) for several days. At this point, you're going to have to go out of your way to make this right, or you're going to start losing players. We're the ones that pay MONEY to your company to play the games you make. If you like MONEY, and I'm betting you do.. fix this.

I'm not going to come back on the forums to post a running tally of the credits I've lost, or post every day there isn't a fix.. but that doesn't mean I've stopped being pissed about the lack of response. It might just mean I'm playing Skyrim on Steam. Last time I checked, you don't get MONEY when I do that.

Though it appears to be a futile gesture, I just stopped by to go on record that the store has stolen well over 2 million credits from me, to date. Compared to some here, that is no doubt mere pocket change.

There is absolutely no way in hell I would even consider the possibility of pondering the merits of contemplating the purchase of Bioware Points until this bug has been fixed and the entire player community compensated appropriately.

I wonder why it's only the spectre packs that wont work for me. Anyone noticed the same?

They said they would refund my points but they never did. I contacted them again and got the pack I paid for. This should not be happening at all. No matter what time of day I try, the purchase always fails.

Just happened to me on a 99k spectre pack. Customer rep said to post on here. But it seems I am screwed out of the credits. Even though this is first world problems I still rage. Any way to at least get the credits back game dev's?

I usually encounter the following: play matches, attempt to purchase Premium Spectre Pack, fail, sigh and mutter "not again," attempt to play another match, stuck on Searching for Games, give up for the night. Rinse and repeat every other day.

At least it's consistent, I'll give Bioware that. lol

I just had it happen this morning. I bought 1 Premium Spectre Pack and 1 Veteran Pack, the game timed out in both instances, NO items and Lost my credits. Same story as parasight4 said. EA costumer service said to come here and post. So..................Thx.......I guess..........

I've lost today 600k... And the EA help support says "I apologize for this but it is a issue on which our expert team is working. Meanwhile you can post this on the forum so that the fixing of this problem may speed up".

No kidding...

Has been happening to me fairly steadily in the past week. Multiplayer game crashes, credits dissapearing, the whole deal. Thankfully it seems I've only lost 150-200k.

I've had this same issue a number of times over the past couple of days. In fact pack purchases have failed more times than they have succeded fpr me recently. I've lost about 160k credits and recieved no items from 2 Spectre packs, and 2 Veteran packs.

Pretty annoying when the only way to get new items for MP is via the packs and they keep bugging out.

rofl this is pathetic.
I haven't played in a while due to other games coming out (about 6 - 8 weeks, can't remember exactly), so i figured they MUST have sold this problem that I've been having ever since the game CAME OUT.
So full of courage, I go to the store and I had about 120k left from back then (I refused to buy anything with it since it failed every single time).
But sure enough, I got another punch to the face and 99k gone again.
I don't even know why I'm posting this for the 10th time since obviously they are simply ignoring this. Oh well back to the other games then.

Yup just finished a gold match 72k-ish creds and leveled up to twenty yay promotion....then I leave the lobby and find my character set back to as if that gold match never happened....Yup the game just went to yea sometimes the store wont work and you boo whoo we just take your money to boo whoo we take your money and last 30 or so mins might as well been spent staring at the wall.

This weekend has been horrible. I don't think a single purchase has actually gone through properly for me. And now within the last hour I can't seem to maintain a connection at all.

I lost 2x 99,000 points today. I have been on haven't played the game for a month and come back to see that this is still happening?! People can spend REAL money in this store, how can you let this happen?

Lost 3x 99,000 credits in the last 2 days. Pretty much losing any kind of drive to play multiplayer now because of it.

I'm just glad I haven't spent any real money on these packs. But seriously Bioware, this is like borderline theft for those who have.

Turned off the firewall in my router, didnt realise it was on. Havent gotten a single failed purchase since then. Not saying it will help anybody else (or that it will last for me) but its still worth checking out.

In short I lost a spectre pack and a veteran pack, possibly two vets, as i found some new items in my layout (does not mean i gained a full vet pack). I soon associated this issue with extended play, at least 2 or 3 matches. as soon as i played that many, this issue would occur. I also noticed that if i played for an extended period that once i quit the lobby, if i tried to reconnect to a game, it would continually try to find one but no game would be found. thought that extended play could be a possibile reason for this issue

I've noticed a recent change. Every purchase will fail 100% of the time now but the displayed number of credits will return to the amount it was at before as though I have never attempted one.

I suppose this is better than losing credits left and right but now I cant buy anything.

Well lets chock the new total up to 159,000 credits lost after this last failed premium specter pack purchase.  This is inexcusable Bioware and EA!

There goes another 99,000 making teh total 248,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



After talking with customer support on text chat, I was able to get them to escalate the issue to the next higher level.  I made sure I got a case number and they finally sent me a "Gift Packet" with 300,000 credits!  Finally some resolution!.  That being said though, I again lost 198,000 credits this morning and am having to create another case #  hopefully it is resolved again
