Looking forward to see this thread gets updated with Brute and Ravager. Brute especially.

for the brue shoort anything squishey

the stomach, head and shoulder are all protected but the spine, legs and neck aren't

for ravagers shoot them in that blue disc and it seems to count as a head shot

Whoever's testing damage should note that the guns do a variable amount of damage. So you'd have to do many tests with the same weapon to get reliable data.

Edit: Actually, I may be wrong about it being random. I looked at weapon damage stats and assumed the scale measures the randomness, but I see now it represents level scaling. There could still be some randomness though, many games apply a small variance to damage.

I can confirm that the knee plates on the atlas do a nice damage spike when Widow-ed.

damn shame to know some of the most damaging areas are not intended =/ i may try shooting a atlas in the groin just to see how much damage it does but i would rather shoot it in the cockpit its kind of like phantoms in the tool tip it says you can break the sword to disable their melee attacks but whats the point when you can shoot them in the head ( silver diffcultiy so no idea about gold )

I only like to paint the Adeptus Sororitas, Tau/Kroot and "Vostroyan theme" imperial guard :D
I don't play it.

On Topic, I still get the same data, I have also noticed that my Mantis X (With bullet penetration and damage increase V) does almost the same amount of damage.

For example where it takes 4 perfect headshots to kill a prime it only takes 5 with a Mantis X (With cloak), 2 to kill the shields (each shot takes off 5-6 blocks if you hit the head perfectly) 3 to kill the armour (each shot knocks off 4 blocks).

Atlas also takes 3 blocks of damage at the orange bit.

I am still testing the Banshees, they are still the toughest, but my previous data still seems pretty solid. Aiming at the chest sees a  damage increase, aiming at the legs does the least.

Atlas
- Some types of weapons will do increased damage to the cockpit (this is a bug)
- Destroy any of the following to do a small damage spike (shoulder flanges, groin plate, knee plates)

So running around back and "shooting the eezo core" like it says in the loading screen tips is a lie?

The loading screen tips are for Single Player.

This was not disproved, so it's probably still true. Quite sure shooting it in the back does extra damage similar to the cockpit.

So i guess that means the headshot damage bonus from skills doesn't work on these enemies?

This was tested on gold, done with Widow I (Extended  clip V and extended barrel V), just my own results trialled multiple times costing my random team countless credits and exp and got me a few rage mails

Atlas:
Pilot seat: 3-4
Rocket or lascannon arm: 2
Legs: 2
Back: 3
Note: Hitting from the front, aiming for the pilot seat (orange part) offers best results. On average 6-7 shots to kill. Take extended clip if on gold. will come in handy if two spawn up together and not enough time to get to ammo crate.

...

just a quick note : hitting the afterburner reaps the biggest rewards - claymore X to cockpit reduces shield / health by 3 - 4 clips, to the back by 4 - 5.

How about Ravagers? I've heard some people claim that shooting them in the "eye" nets more damage, but I've been unable to back this up from experience. (Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and I can't rule out factors like pre-Warping and distance being factors.)

I also have a tendency to shoot the Banshee in the ass when she's facing away from me. XD

Which weapons are most effective against such enemies ?

I don't have many to choose from, so I use the Geth Plasma Shotgun most of the time...

That Banshee chest thing... Gamewise, a wel placed shot from Widow shall pierce both boobs, thus causing a double damage! :o

Hi fellow 40k-ers!

On topic: I think if you shoot the groin plate off an Atlas and shoot it there it cause a damage spike.

form my experience Brutes are getting most dmg if you shoot them from behind ( thier backs ) as they are mostly exposed.

so just wait for him to charge, roll, get to the back and shoot bastard :D

Personal experience validates a lot of the above:
- Banshee suffers most dmg when shot in the chest
- Brutes have a vulnerable exposed back
- Most important, Atlases take massive dmg if you can squeeze a widow round at one of the side windows

Prime:
Red eye: 4-5
Chest: 3
Back: 3
Arms: 2-3
Legs: 2
Note: You must hit the red eye from the front for maximum damage. CAN be killed in 4 perfect shots.

Banshee:
Head: 2
Chest/breast: 3-4
Back: 2-3
Belly: 2
Arms: 1-2
Legs 1
Note: The barrier drops much quicker then the armour no matter where you aim. Same as above try to take on head on. Will drop people if it takes approx 4-5 blocks of damage in one hit (more likely if barrier is down), will not happen 100% of the time.

Additional notes: Did this with QI, to improve your survivability you can skip part of the reload animation. Once it says one in the chamber activate cloak to skip the rest of the animation (Saving you half a second) and be able to zoom in and fire second shot. :D

God bless you! These Banshees have been giving me a hard time. "Shoot the chest" Really BW!?

So i didnt go through the whole thread, but im pretty sure that no one mentioned that you can destroy the armor plates on atlases knees, shoulders and groin for a decent damage spike, once their shield is down. Ravagers are most vulnerable at the spots that are revealed after you destroy their sacks or or if you shoot their backs, the big glowing eye is armored and takes less damage than any other part of the ravager(atleast thats what i got from my experience) Brutes im pretty sure dont have weak spots just try to avoid their armor(wich can be destroyed and then you just get bigger spots to aim at) As for banshees and primes - chest shots for banshees and head shots for primes(to the front and to the side of the head if you are behind them just shoot them in the back - bigger target, less chance to miss and same damage as the back of the head) but everybody knows that already xD

You can also blast off their head plate and get what I assume is the same damage rate as shooting them in the back.

I agree that the eye is not the weak point, and so when I observed that I checked on the ME Wiki. According to the wiki the weak spot is the green, fleshy area underneath the large front sac. In my personal experience when I started shooting at this instead of the blue eye they started going down much quicker.

I had always thought, even during the SP campaign, that the glowing power port on the back of the Atlas would be a major weak spot. But noooo~
