I think that a lot of people might have prefered that sort of ending.

You get lots of random blue blowies throughout the game.

Damn it was not a good time to be eating an apple when I read that...

Well, I find it more satisfying staying with her throughout all three games - there's a visible development arc to their relationship. Besides, the main thing is just subtle changes in dialogue, but quite frankly, no matter how small those changes are, it makes it all the more worthwhile for me - they're far more satisfying and fluffy.

Would have been nice if the game reflected the fact we had a romantic encounter in two.

Liara: "...it's been years since we've been together"
Shepard: "uhhh...no...Liara it was a little under nine months. We talked about having kids even."

It's a known bug. There's a simple fix if you edit your savefile. See: http://social.biowar.../index/10772461

Who knows, if we're really lucky, Bioware will make that part of the ending fix... if they make an ending fix at all, of course.

Well, it's the only romance that devs really cared about - rest of romances are kinda placeholders in comparison.  So reward for staying with her is getting the best service ;).

Pity that she is such a generic type of character. I played a lot of games in my life and I already can't stand characters like her in video games.

Apart from the fact that you get the most fleshed-out (figuratively and literaly, haw) relationship available?

No, not really.

Hey, I didn't cheat on Liara - she blew me off. And here I thought true love transcended silly things like death.... So, when Tali made her interest known - in spite of the fact that I had already been dead once and was planning a suicide mission next - I was like "hey, this girl will stick by me - not just retrieve my body and pass it off to a terrorist organization." Liara obviously didn't believe that Cerberus was going to bring me back to life or she would have stuck around instead of taking off on that whirlwind romance with some drell....

And that makes a pay off through 3 games.... how?  I could just start the romance in ME3 and be done with it

Shadow Broker combat armor or something as a perk would have been nice

Her romance is it's own reward. It was greatly written, very fleshed out, and, you know, sweet. Her scenes were very romantic, but not cheesy. I didn't like Liara until romancing her in ME3 tbh.

Best romance or not, I'm saying after sticking with it for 3 games, I expected more of a pay off, maybe ME3 they had little blue children or something.... it just seemed like the they hook up the first time through every iteration..... "Thanks for Stopping by"

Not only ending, but somewhere through mid game, you meet your children who are being cared for at a refugee camp on some unregistered planet while you and Liara are off saving the Galaxy.  Some sort of bonus of some kind atleast, especially when they elluded to this through 3 games regarding, little blue children.

On the one hand, I understand where you're coming from.  However, on my other twelve hands, I firmly believe that Liara's romance is already leagues ahead of everyone else's, and giving her even more content would be salt in the wound of the other, more mediocre relationships.

Umm you get to be faithful to an awesome character. You get a romance spanning 3 games isnt that enough of a reward.

If not then its best (and the only truly believable sex scene). Its amazing how many characters manage to have sex in their clothes. Liara at least has some idea. Its tastefully done too

This.

Liara best sex scene in ME3.

Nuff said.

You had the best romance.

Other guys staying faithful didn't get such reward.
