Nice to see she grown as a person. I just want a dialogue option:
"Hey Shepard, good job shooting those flashlights!"
"Damn it, Ash. Some of my best friends are geth!"

Remember all her squad and friends were killed around her by the geth heretics, can't really blame her for holding a grudge

Well, the Geth exiled Tali and her entire race from their home planet. Tali sees Legion as a friend, in my playthrough.

So, if anyone is allowed to be racist against the Geth because the hold a grudge, it would be Tali not Ash.

That, and she doesn't really know Legion.

There you go, those lines did seem off to me though. They did't fit with how she acted throughout the rest of the game.

If my parents were killed by an Englishman, it wouldn't be excusable for me to suddenly start hating all British people.

Though that analogy doesn't quite work because I wouldn't be able to hate all English people either. My point is, Legion and co. aren't Geth heretics.

Well, I was not agreeing with her just trying to explain her actions, Ash is dead for me anyway. The geth could be mostly blamed because they vote on every action, but yes the heretics are not the main body of the geth, I am sure ash does not really care though.

I'm pretty sure racism has nothing to do with anyione allowing it. Besides, Ashley isn't that different than...well, most of the galaxy, really, with not really seeing AIs as people.

More like, three games and people still give Ash crap about being a realist.

Geth aren't people or a race. They're machines. Even Legion concurs with that.

Yeah, after the Quarians tried to commit genocide and created a KGB/Gestapo like secret police to punish anyone helping the Geth. The Quarians were always the bad guys, even during ME3 they didn't care if they were killing Shepard just because they wanted to destroy a Geth ship, it was their hatred and stubborness what led to the demise of their entire species (at least in my universe).

Incorrect. Legion clearly states that if the reaper code is upgraded, the geth would be "alive".

I don't hate Ashley as a person and a fictional character, but I don't care for her either. Always thought she was one of the least interesting characters in Mass Effect and perhaps one of the reasons I preferred Liara as a LI since the first game.

She's not racist for disliking the Geth. For her, the Geth are still the same creatures who attacked Eden Prime. She hasn't had any contact with any of the Geth since fighting Sovereign. She's never gotten to know Legion or anything. In her world, they're still the same human-killing machines that helped the Reapers.

Heck, I was like that until I met Legion. If she had been more prominent and gotten to know Legion in ME2 like Tali and everyone else did, she would have a more respectable view of the geth as well.

Which comes at the end of the geth-quarian story arc. I'm pretty sure what Ash says here comes well before that.

Suddenly I'm still glad that Ashley is dead in my playthrough, then. Because I know there's no 'Shut up' renegade option and I would mashing the renegade button right then.

No it gives her character some depth. If she didn't have her suspicions, she wouldn't be who she is.
