Not if they actually launches an -expansion pack- which can provide several more hours of gameplay.

A DLC to 'only' change the ending would be worthless. I think they could do what they did with Baldur's Gate 2 and create a Throne of Bhaal for Mass Effect 3.

Baldurs gate enhanced edition merged with ME! :D Great idea.
Seriously: expansion pack is only way they can save scraps of respect they have.

The old ending still happens and it continues on from when Shepard takes a breath, unless you picked the green or blue ending, then your ****ed XD

Indoctrination theory, look it up!

... Or I'm still in denial...

Hahahaha, I would love this.  Especially because the only guy I know personally who liked the endings, chose Control and thought it was awesome.

I agree, and an expansion pack would be pretty cool.

I would LOVE to get the real ending and then, MAYBE, spend a litlte time cleaning up some remaining pockets of Cerberus extrmeism.

I kind of agree with the possible negative implications of this. I think bioware needs to do a lot of clarification for the ending. But if there is a DLC fix, either paid or free, and we, as fans, used to be fans, and consumers go for it, it would send a message saying game makers can make incomplete games and the players will buy DLC to see the end.

That boat sailed a long time ago. And it could be worse, they could go all Hollywood on us and release ME3 part 2 as an entire separate game, like freaking Harry Potter and Twilight. Fallout 3 already changed the ending with a DLC. BioWare wouldn;t be settign a dangerous precedent. It's been done to death. They just be fixing a mistake. And possibly regaining a lot of lost customer loyalty.

Same. When I heard Rana Thanoptis killed a bunch of military leaders, I was getting ready to replay all 3, just to change some decision I never really payed attention to. Then everything got recolored 3 times, and now I don't. I'd pay for a new ending that gave the game it's replay value back.

This.

Besides, it's  not like I don't do multiple run throughs to try out different classes anyway..

So what you're saying is, you only want a new ending but you don't want to only play a new ending, nor do you want to replay the whole game? How the hell are they supposed to satisfy you, exactly?

I have no problems with playing through the entire trilogy again if it got me the ending I wanted.

Sending him an email to tell him how it came out?

Em... I'd be satisfied if good ending was in game I bought not in some DLC. It's really hard to satisfy me ;)

Expansion pack isn't bad idea. Still- ME was supposed to give us answers on all questions we had. So no matter what they do- it's not fair.

I would gladly replay all three games just to give my Shep the sendoff he/she deserves.

There was nothing wrong with the Journey of Mass Effect, just the Destination.

"Hey kids! You know that vacation we planned to Disneyworld, well here we go!"

"Yay daddy!"

10 hours later.

"Alright kids, here we are! The wonderful world of...Cleveland!"

"............."

I was just thinking this. Even if a satisfying ending was hard to achieve, even if it meant going back through the whole trilogy to revisit all my choices to get it, I'd do it now. As things stand though, all roads lead to the same handwaving, cod philosphy-spouting, cheap, and bitterly disappointing ending. And there's only one - they're all functionally identical.

The writers seemed to be more interested in proving how "clever" they were than in putting the effort needed to produce a coherent story. And they just come off like a poorly-informed commenter who's accidentally trolled a forum with their stupidity, but acts like all the hate is down to the cleverness of their argument.

Damn, I would rather restart my Shepard and play all the way through 3 games to get to a new ending than to see this one again. :P

I would do this ^

This isn't much of a problem, I'd actually want to play the game instead of not at all like I currently do. Don't make perfect the enemy of the good.

Half of fun is ME is plot. And if I know what'll happen- it's not very interesting. I'm not saying that I wouldn't like to get better ending(s) (preferably- many, as many as possible). I'd prefer to have them in-game from the beginning. Otherwise it'll be 2h of playing, "oh it was interesting cource of events" and end. Not long epic journey, just ending. Even playing third time it won't be the same. Ok- now... Battle of the Citade, Rannoch... I'll know everything.
