On my Engineer playthrough I also got the feeling that Ammo power count as techdamage cause those powers did a lot of damage against sabotaged enemies.
But I´m not sure on that. Maybe someone can confirm?

The final evolution of Sabotage gives you 100% more Techdamage for 10 seconds on the target. It doesn´t matter if the target is organic or armor or has a barrier. Use it and watch a brute melt from 2 Incinerates on Insanity.

Overload with Neural Shock is just an amazing CC. You don´t even need drones to run in and go close and personal.
But it was more fun than Adept or Vanguard.

yeah, u sold me, engineer just got too many gadgets and powers to have fun with. I wanna try this sabotage max as soon as I get home, too bad Im almost at the end, Cerebus HQ. Well, atleast Ill know for when I do my engi run. Im surprised more ppl havent written about sabotage/incinerate tech combo....Jinxster120 wrote...
I played a CQC shotgun engineer with defense matrix. I did not care about my squadmates and always changed them and it was by far the easiest insanity run i did in ME3.

I´m sure this is widly known, but on the other hand a lot of people may only think of Sabotage as kind of the AI Hack ability from ME2.
The power would be good even without the techdamage buff. The backfire part of it does 352 damage with defense matrix activated. And that number is of course before the 100% more techdamage from it´s final evolution.
I´m sure you could up those numbers a bit with the right armor, but i´m just wearing the N7 defender for the looks.
I just reload the Asari monastery to give you some numbers. On the Banshees it was Sabotage-Overload-Barrier gone-Incinerate-Shotgun-refresh Sabotage-Shotgun-Incinerate-Incinerate-Banshee gone...

Is it worth using defense matrix to increase tech power or or is faster cooldown preferable?
What's the best way of using cloak in combination with sabotage+incinerate, cloak->sabotage->incinerate or sabotage->cloak->incinerate->incinerate? Or is it better to skip cloak?

Also allows you to rock the viper with 200% cooldown to kill mooks. Tend to use fully evolved disrupter near the end on the viper along with energy drain to murder the shields of banshees, or better still, use tech + overload from garus evolved to damage barriers more and energy drain from tali - on insanity, with leaves banshees with only 2 bars of shielding which is easily stripped by the viper under cloak, leaving only the armor, and with 2 castings of incinerate and using cryo ammo on your second weapon.

Brutes are easy, with infiltrator. It is just tactical clock (with fire a power), sabotage (with 100% tech damage), carnifax (or any pistol with armor bypass) with fully evolved cryo ammo (+25 armor weakening), then incinerate with 100% bonus damage to frozen and chilled targets, once the cooldown from sabotage has finished. The dot over time damage along with the initial damage from incinerate will kill them in 3 seconds.

Does sabotage in any way benefit from cloak's damage bonus? Otherwise, it seems better to use sabotage before cloaking and then 2 incinerates with cloak's bonus damage. Or is there any other reason to use sabotage while cloaked?
Planning to use squad cryo ammo, but does anyone know if the armor weakening is reduced from 50 to 25 for squad members?
If that's the case I might bring a locust/hurricane as a secondary weapon (might do that anyway).

What about playing as a Vangard? I typically bring Kaidan and Liara and use reave and warp respectively which seems to work, but the banshee's still manage to get super close...
If you are a Vanguard, you really do not need to worry about the Banshee getting close. As long as they stop their annoying random teleport, you can just stand there and shoot it with a shotgun. Since it is close to you, it will hurt them like hell
If it tries to use its biotic attack - Charge it!! Then you can roll away and keep shooting it. If it grabs you, grenades and biotic detonation that does enough damage to it will break their grip.

Thanks, I actually tried using a shotgun last night and found that works great!

Liara has stasis / Warp and Javik has Slam / Dark Channel. My adept has pull, warp, throw, passive maxxed.
So:
1) Liara Warp + Adept Throw
2) Javik DC + Adept Throw
3) Adept Warp + Adept Throw
by which Liara's cooldown has ended and I can repeat Steps 1 and 3 until Javik's DC cooldown ends, and repeat.
It depends on your class but anything works, heh.

Bring Garrus or EDI, with Kaiden. Set up biotic explosions with reave then charge (followed by an immediate dodge roll back to keep from getting instakilled then nova), and overload barriers down. Should only take one overload if you evolved shield damage on rank 6.secretagentbw wrote...

For brutes, incinerate, grenades and they die.
downside is, that the only one with tech powers is my engineer, so it gets tricky sometimes. But its the easiest way i found.

Brutes are piece of cake for the sentinel... even those on the brute rodeo in Tuchanka but banshees are annoying, one it's a cupcake but two or more are a nightmare

Warp + Throw does the trick, for example.
