The Maneless One - “Would you like to join me? I’m…it’s hard to explain. I’m trying to understand my past, where I came from. My memories are bleary before waking up in a nearby stable.”

Daa’Hoof - “A strange story, mare. It could be a magnified form of repression, forgetfulness… but your tale does leave me curious. Clearly, you are far from ordinary - I’ve yet to see a pony with such marks on them, and in great measure as well. For now, I will join you ephemerally in the interests of finding your memories. As much as I’ve enjoyed the alley of lingering squees, perhaps it’s time to undergo a new, greater experience.”

Daa’Hoof has joined your party. With no other points of interest in this alley, where would you like to go now?

1. Head to the Alley of Lingering Squees.
2. Head to the Tacit Mare Bar.
3. Head to the Marketplace.
4. Head to the Housing District.

Got a feeling we need to go talk to the mare in the bar, but...

4. Head to the Housing District

You arrive at the housing district… it is an expectedly rundown part of the HUB, with most of the residents outside of the houses instead, asking for coin. Most of them seem to be shaped specifically to the outer wall of the HUB, forming strangely angled shapes to them. You continue to stride across the pathway, until spotting an unambiguous sign labelled “IN HERE” attached to one of the doorways. Under the assumption this would be pike’s, you head inside.

The inside of this residence has an assorted scattering of books, half-eaten victuals, and various coin caches.

Pike - “Hey buddy, did you need something?”

1 - “So what were you trying to get done here?”
2 - “I encountered the Lady of Pink. The results were not pleasant…”
3 - “I’ve recieved an ally, Daa’Hoof.”
4 - “Lie: I am Adahn.”
5 - “Nevermind. Farewell.”

A classic. :P

The Maneless One - “I am adahn.”

Pike - “You’re finally starting to remember yourself? Finally some good news. Let’s hope it all keeps up that way. Anything else?”

1 - “So what were you trying to get done here?”
2 - “I encountered the Lady of Pink. The results were not pleasant…”
3 - “I’ve recieved an ally, Daa’Hoof.”
4 - “Lie: I am Adahn.”

The Maneless One - “I’ve recieved an ally, Daa’Hoof.”

Pike - “Very interesting, indeed.. Neat pole there, hoofy.”

Daa’Hoof remains silent, but maintains a disapproving stare towards Pike.

Pike - “Geez, no need to give the cold shoulder there. Just trying to make nice.”

1 - “So what were you trying to get done here?”

The Maneless One - “I encountered the Lady of Pink. The results were not pleasant…”

Pike - “…and you’re STANDING HERE? How did you even survive that?!”

The Maneless One - “She and I…have apparently met before. I was meant to stop a rebel faction offended by the teachings of derpy hooves.”

Daa’Hoof - “Why didn’t you mention this before?”

The Maneless One - “Are meeting was brief and bewildering… I don’t even know if she’s telling the truth.”

Pike - “Wow, that’s…you know the Lady of Pink personally? If she says you need to take care of them, then we better hustle, big time. I’ll grab my belongings and we’ll hoof it. But, where do we even start?”

In the distance, a sizeable blast can be heard, as well as clamoring in the streets.

Pike - “Me and my big snout…”

How about you NOT ruin the memory of the greatest narrative in video game history with your cancerous childrens show and terrible humor.

That'd be great, thanks.

*sighs*
Yes we get it, you don't like this but  don't ruin the fun of others. It's just a harmless game that even non bronies seem to be enjoying. If you take offense to this it's your own damn problem by not being able to deal with it. Ponies aren't "infecting" anything, that's something your own mind made up.  you insult yourself for that, and you insult the OP for ignoring his hard work and just going on the attack like that.

Hush now, quiet now.

(wow guess I finally snapped gais!)

So. I've spent about 10 minutes or so re-reading TwistedComplex's comment. I would be greatly inclined to believe you if it weren't for the fact that you recently decided to troll the MLP thread with "You will all die alone." If you had provided a civil, explanatory complaint in place of a hit-and-run quip, I would take it with a greater level of seriousness.

with your cancerous childrens show

That makes me suspicious of trolling. You're not talking to me, you're talking to MLP fans in general. It's a blatant sign.

I knew from the get-go that it was a major risk putting this on here; although BSN is the only place I can imagine the MLP and cRPG fans converging in any form without major hate. If I had put this on RPGCodex, I'd be immediately crucified and tortured for years to come. As arcadian legend said, this was also hard work. The 2 chapters combined added up to a bit under 25 full pages of dialogue.

Also, I'd like to point out that relatively speaking, it isn't that spoofy. The original idea was to keep the dialogue-heavy, verbose nature of PS:T with a slight tint of MLP added in - the characters more than anything else, really. I still wanted to keep it(relatively) serious and within the same style of Sigil. I mean heck, even Nameless One, a devout fan of the series enjoyed it. It's not like I was writing "Updated mah journal derp derp to the mooooooon!" or nonsense like that.

If this really, genuinely offends you, it was certainly not my intent. However, I cannot apologize until I know with more than a vitriolic sentence that you were hurt by this topic.

And that is all I have to say about that.

Twisted, he's not ruining anything, exactly how is this hurting PS:T? I think it shows a great love for the greatest game ever to do all the writing he's doing.

I'm sorry, are you expecting me to take adults who watch a childrens show seriously?

MLP is the product of 10 years of people being deprived of new Spongebob episodes.

Once again, I'd like to say it's a wonderful effort that has been put into this. I've really enjoyed this. :)

But I think some things might be done better. For one thing, many people don't get to participate - this would be reduced a bit by posting the updates at different times and/or at times that have been specified beforehand.

Sort of in the same vein of FO:E; though they've put a hell of a lot more effort into theirs though.

And instead of one vitriolic sentence directed somewhat at MLP fans, you've given me two. Nifty. If you wish to continue this conversation, please keep it outside of this topic and into my PM Inbox instead.

Yeah, it's a decision I knew had its pros and cons. If I do it all at the same time, it gives people a greater feeling that they participated in an adventure instead of a game. On the other hand, I could stretch it out so a lot more people get a chance to see and try. Glad you enjoyed it though.

What the eff is this moaning? Silence, and begone! If you cannot take satire in stride, then perhaps you need to step back and refrain from derailing threads. I do not watch the show, but I think this is a neat spoof of a truly legendary video-game.

So, a few updates.

-I've begun the laborious proccess of re-coloring the entirety of the first 2 chapters in the style of PS:T and will continue that henceforth. Plain old text doesn't quite give the same feeling.

-I've got a solid idea on the main storyline of this based on your choices in the playthrough; Chapter III and IV will be the last 2.

-Audio Links have been added for each Chapter/Location in the interests of atmosphere.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter III - Party Of Four
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Three exit from the refuge of pike’s housing to see the entirety of the hub in flames. The paintings that undoubtedly took hours of work within the alley became a spark for the bellowing conflagration. Mare and stallion alike lie lifeless on the streets; a few seem to have donned a strange garb before being relieved of their mortal coil. Wearing robes made of a shimmering turquoise, they seem eerily out of place in a town overflowing with an unkempt populace.

Daa’Hoof - “…What is the meaning of all this?”

Pike - “Either the Lady of Pink decided the hub’s gotta go, or someone’s having one hell of a party.”

Daa’Hoof inches closer to one of the bodies lying on the ground.

Daa’Hoof - “These robes…they’re made for guardians of the hooves temple. Why would the guardians be here?”

1. “They may be the defense against whatever rebels have come in. If we can acquire their help, the hub may not be lost after all.”
2. “When was the last time you saw the hooves guardians? Do they typically set food outside the temples?”
3. “We’re not going to figure it out just sitting here, Let’s go.”

Not a bad idea. Could give you extra time to perfect things if you don't think what you wrote works too well as well.
